    Hydraulic fluid

Many look at the price per gallon of the fluid required, and make a decision. Part of the equation is often left out. The product you may choose to buy based on cost/gal has a different factor when you: 1. Determine how often the fluid needs to be changed, 2. What is the cost if the fluid...

L3901 - overheating after extended, heavy duty brush hogging

Do you have access to a good battery powered leaf blower? Blow from the fan forward ought to keep it fairly clean if you stop every once in a while.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

That's the disadvantage of having a nice big building that's always clean and tidy. Everything in it's place makes for more room, so folks know you'll take good care of things and you surly have room. No one ever ask me to store their treasures, they may not be able to find them when they...

    Daily Chuckle

In these parts those stores are referred to as O-Really! I was thinking about this over the weekend. We all tend to pick on the young guy at the pats counter desk, but here's what happened to me. I have a sore throat one night, then a bit of a cough, then lost my appetite and got lethargic...

    Speculative tractor upgrade - pondering

PaulL, You mention a lot of variables. Boil all the excitement of moving and new tools out of the equation and I'd wait until I'm located there and after a short time you'll see what will be best. I'd have a set down meeting with mum and make sure she understands your plan. Then see if she...

An idea to help with the grapple. When gathering material like a pile for limbs, get everything loaded and pinched as tight as you can before you move the tractor from the pile. Then don't mess with the buttons until you want to dump the load. You can roll the grapple to a more level position...

safety on a hill going straight up and down

As a side note. Right where your finger is pointing is where a block of wood needs to be place (on both sides) when separating the transmission from the engine to keep the engine from flopping when it's unbolted.

    Chain mower dischage

The factory discharge chute will deflect rocks way better then you think if that's your mowing habit! Chains are for large flying objects like ditch mowers run over.

It's a lot like learning to tilt your bucket to get the desired cutting edge without the loader angle hardware! A little practice while paying attention and you have it.

Looking for Advice on Gravel Maintenance

If tree limbs are in the way of spreading the rock just have someone with a smaller truck bring the rock. They can haul 8-9 tons in a short truck, therefore don't need all the clearance an end dump requires. If you are unsure of what rock to use (since all locals use different terminology)...

Looking for Advice on Gravel Maintenance

You describe water running down the middle of the road. I'd suggest lowering the outside edge of the drive on both sides by dragging the material to the center. This does two things. Begins to form a slight ditch for water to stay off the road, and adds material to the center where you need...

Nice! You have a tractor model we never see in the U.S. Is the ROPS factory? The tractors shipped here have 2"x3" heavy wall material for the ROPS. Why do you have your front tires so far in? Nice barn also!!
