What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Got the evaporator out. I’ll boil maple sap Saturday. One day I’ll have a sugar shack, but for now I’ll be in the driveway again.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Oh yeah, I def wouldn’t use this cheap Vevor carport for that. I have another one that was a hand-me-down which is very rugged and I would trust with a lot of snow. I don’t know the brand though. Also, judging by the weight of the steel pipes, my guess is it wouldn’t be very economical...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

It’s a Vevor brand I think, I picked it up from Wayfair for $160 (total) in 2023. After the initial trouble (see below), I improved the installation by spiking the wood pieces down and it has been trouble free since then. I also bought a cheap diy grommet kit from harbor freight and doubled the...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Thanks. I have a secret weapon — my brother-in-law has been in the mushroom and foraged foods business for years. He’s coming to help.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Gathered some wood to inoculate and grow some mushrooms. Never done it before, I’m excited.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Emptied my buckets for the first time this season. Hopefully I have enough to boil come this weekend.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I help neighbors with my machine on occasion. Sure they could sue me if something goes terribly wrong. Thus is life. I guess it’s smart to limit personal liability, but I also think it’s possible to go overboard.

    1st Tractor, New Owner Help!

Nice looking spot! Easy to spend someone else’s money, but I find the bucket really annoying to plow with. I use a snow pusher, which ain’t too pricey. Also a back blade. Both can be found used fairly easily.

Best hydrostatic range for plowing snow

I plow in medium, using a snow pusher or back blade on my L4701.

Thinking about going from B2601 to L series

I traded my B2301 for an L4701 a couple years ago. Boy am I happy. As other said, I guess keeping it changing the implements kind of depends. I kept my forks, but got a wider snowpusher and back blade. Good luck with your decision!

    Operation in sand

Maybe you can rent a BX from Home Depot to do a test run before purchasing one?

    SOLD! Cordwood / Buzz Saw

Big ol’ three point hitch mounted PTO powered buzz saw. Great for slicing up good sized limbs for firewood – it’s faster and nicer on the back than a chainsaw. Check out this video of it in action: https://drive.google.com/file/d/12eJttP8zCAe--wc7SyylhPQMFnntE5l0/view?usp=share_link Works...

Excellent! I love the blower on mine. I look forward to seeing some photos of your operation when the sap’s running. I’ll share some too!

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Awesome. I started on cinder blocks, went to a homemade 55 gallon drum arch, and now have a very similar 2x3. (Did we talk about this in the past? I’m terrible at remembering people I haven’t met in person but this is ringing a bell.) I think you’ll be very happy!

Nice! Who’s the maker of the evaporator?

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Hey thanks. I considered creating a build thread in projects, but was leaning against it because it’s gonna take me so darn long and I figured it would be too slow and boring a thread. The frame was cut in September 2022 and then money got tight so the project has been floundering. But, maybe...
