A HST transmission is not a place where one substitutes oils and/or filters unless one is CERTAIN that such substitutes are equivalent to the Kubota items. If mine, I would replace the filters with Kubota filters and the oil with Kubota SUDT2. Post back.

I did my L6060 from the side in front of the right rear wheel. Yes, removing the factory installed filters can be very tough. A strap wrench may help but install it near one end to reduce the possibility of collapsing the filters. Make sure that you have a couple of adequate drain pans and lots...

The L series is a smaller frame size than the M series. It is not a "lower grade." Be advised that 2WD tractors are uncommon these days and do not sell well.

Three point scoops are also much better for excavation with small tractors than are FELS. Thousands upon thousands of farm ponds have been made with 9/2/8N Fords and three point scoops. Try doing such things with a small tractor/FEL.

I had the Kubota 2672 (IIRC) with hydraulic angle option for use with my B3350 and found it to be well made and suitable for my needs. I have no experience with the LP model. FWIW, the Kubota blade uses dual hydraulic cylinders rather than a single cylinder as shown in the photo of the LP unit...

Bingo. Nothing wrong with so doing but increasing pressures beyond design specifications is certainly not recommended. Reasons should be obvious.

Agreed. Routinely done and makes no difference if, as is usually the case, the pressure plate mounting surface is also machined the same amount. Still, save the expense if not needed.

Might want to check when the relief valves are relieving on your tractor, but I would NOT recommend shimming the valves to increase pressures beyond factory specifications.
