What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Installed with temporary hoses. The lower remote is currently connected to outlets on the loader cross-bar that are for my thumb. I pop them out when using the hydraulic top link. I need to do three things: Determine how long the hoses for the tilt cylinder need to be, fabricate a way to...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I'll grab some in the morning. Bear in mind that's it's attached with whatever I had laying around for hoses and the installation will be "cleaned up" later.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Got my tilt cylinder from FitRite today. 10 minute job to pin it on and find some hoses to test drive it. Slick! Really quality work, many thanks to whomever put me onto them. Do need to do a little sittin' , starin', and head-scratchin' to decide the best way to route the hoses and then...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Done, other than Baby Dottir painting the address on the box. I went to all the effort of borrowing and hooking up that post hole digger figuring I'd run into the usual hell-hole of rocks, pin gravel and blue clay. Even brought my big pick bar up from the barn just knowing I'd be cussing it...

    Twisted Loader

Depending on where it's tweaked, might it be possible to cut and re-weld the existing arm?

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Went up and fetched the Post Hole Digger. Used to have one, sold it when I got out of the sheep biz. PHD's are a pain in the derriere when stored with an eye towards having to remount it. When they're just flopped on the ground because the owner has never mounted one and hasn't a clue (came...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Much to my surprise, I was able to fix the tire myself. The sidewalls were not nearly as stiff as I expected and I was able to pop it off the bead and pull the tube out to patch it. Saved myself at least a day, probably two and $30 or more for the repair. Pad is backfilled and compacted, after...

    B2650 steering ball joint boot

Noticed that the boot on the right front wheel steering joint is torn. I'd like to replace it but can't find a part number or source for it. Any help appreciated.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Decided that I'm tired of paying $80+ a year for a PO Box, so I'm putting up a mailbox. I have a corner of the lawn next to the driveway that never has grown grass worth a hoot, so scraping it down, backfilling with crushed stone and tamping to give the mail driver a place to pull off the road...

    Daily Chuckle

That too, back when I could bend my fingers that far. Index finger on both hands. What really sucks is that virtually ALL of my hobbies/pastimes involve working with my hands. Model building at 1:64 when your hands don't work is something of a challenge.

I'll be 75 in a couple months. You have NO idea how true that is. Big problem is arthritis in my hands. No grip strength at all.

    B2650 5amp OPC/Panel keeps blowing

Yup, me too. Several times. I got tired of forking over $45 for replacements and jumpered it. (Cue Safety Nazi Meltdown...)

EDC question ( Asking for a friend)

It varies depending on season, destination and mood, but lately I've been picking the M&P .45 and an extra mag. Nice combination between stopping power and convenient carry. Other choices are a S&W Model 60 with +P and a strip reloader, a Walther PPKS if concealability is an issue, or a G19...

    Start the Countdown

Raised 4-5 dozen meat birds every year for a long time. Over the years, we developed a system where we could go from live birds to cut up and ready for the freezer at a rate of 4 birds an hour. When they were pre-teens and teens, the grandsons would help. When they moved on (and we...

    Gear heads

Precisely why I didn't replace my 2013 Tundra with another Toyota. Loved that truck and would've bought another in a heartbeat if the 5.7 was still available. Because reasons, GM and Dodge were not even on the maybe list, a 2024 Ford F250 Super Duty with the 6.8 "Minizilla" V8 is parked in my...

Another, I don't get out much thread.

Not to mention all the construction in Ellsworth... Used to be that after the Leaf Peepers left in mid-to-late October, you could get around in Ellsworth until Memorial Day or thereabouts. Now the traffic is just nuts 365 days a year. I do my best to plan ALL turns at lights. Otherwise...
