    m5400 7ft dozer blade

Can you give us a photo of the connection from the front end loader to the bucket and the dozer blade? Are they skid steer quick attach (SSQA)? Just curious how a guy buys a tractor and attachments and forgets about them for 20 years? Sounds like most of it is in like new condition. I’ll...

    B2301 FEL and 3PH Problems

I’ve done this to myself a couple times when I had just reinstalled the FEL. I was worried for a moment, checked the couplings at the joy stick, yup, both times one female coupling was not locked down completely. Sure would seem that a tech would have caught that though. Probably had to...

    Equipment shed thoughts/ideas?

Same here in Oregon. Agricultural buildings don’t require a permit, except for electrical. And I’m sure no one ever puts electricity in an Agg building, right? The planning folks think they need to concur that it’s an Agg building, but I won’t pay that fee, after I tell them you don’t know my...

    Wide Front tire options?

I’d think at the low speeds tractors are operated while working (probably under 5 mph for FEL work), that centrifugal force would not significantly increase the rolling radius relative to the static loaded radius. Can you tell us which value is slightly larger than the other? if the rolling...

Time for a new one.....or keep on chugging ?

Interestingly enough, that’s the same usage rate my L3830 has had the last 16 years. Now that I’m semi retired I am using it more. And the new (1 year old) B2601 is getting about that many hour a year (38), but it’s job is pretty much just finish mowing. Your tractor looks great for a new...

    Equipment shed thoughts/ideas?

You might consider a concrete floor if it’s in the budget. It’s sure handy for installing/removing the FEL and being able to roll implements around on furniture dollys. I second the 14’ to bottom chord of the truss. Do you want the front face on the long side open full length? If so, the size...

Tire pressure according to the manual

The manual calls for 21 psi in front on my L3830. I usually have them set at 25 psi. If I run the loader a bunch, I’ll bump it to 30 psi. The max pressure on the sidewall of the tire is 34 psi. R1 s with 6 ply rating.

    Appropriate lifting location???

For $42, seems like you can’t go wrong. probably manufactured over seas, distributed by Aya Gear here in the US.

Tire pressure according to the manual

It’s interesting that Kubota doesn’t address this matter in their fairly detailed owners manuals. They do list all the OEM tire options a specific model of tractor could have been ordered with, as well as the recommended pressure (sans FEL considerations). Sometimes the ply rating is mentioned...

Tire pressure according to the manual

Interestingly enough, when I researched this with my Kubota owners manuals a while ago, I got nowhere too. The tractor manual provides tire pressures with no mention of adjustments for FEL work. The manual for the FEL provides the same tire pressures as the tractor manual, again with no mention...

    Lown Performance Grill Guards/Customer Service

Good point. Mine looks like it must be for straight ahead headlights. The two blank spots that could have had openings are about 4 inches wide. Each one has a stock about 1.25 inch diameter pipe under it. Fortunately, I don’t use my tractor when it’s dark (no snow plow duties if any...

    Lown Performance Grill Guards/Customer Service

Indeed both grill guards above look great. Glad to hear about a stand up company doing what they can to make things right. That is so rare anymore. I’m guessing it’s a smaller family owned company. The one Landris posted is pretty neat given it was custom fabricated. Nice work on both side of...

    Bought my 1st Kubota.

Yup, the OEM gear box is pretty spendy. Which is why I went with the knock off, knowing it won’t last but a few years (got about 12 years out of the stock gear box). The deck itself is getting a bit rough too. I figure when this gear box goes, I’ll get another new LP unit and cry about the $3 or...

    Bought my 1st Kubota.

All of your photos look like post cards. You’re very good at taking good photos. BTW, you can use the FEL and MMM together, as long as you don’t need a lot of ground clearance where you’re using the FEL. As I’m sure you know (working for an equipment rental shop) modern FELs are very easy to...

    Bought my 1st Kubota.

Just to share, I have (for the last year) a B2601. I bought it to run a mid mount mower. That’s really all I do with it and yes taking it off and installing the mower is a chore and it’s a drive over too. Well I did drag the gravel driveway once with the MMM on with the back blade. FWIW, the MMM...

    Bought my 1st Kubota.

Welcome to OTT! I’m a newbie myself. First off you property and photos look like a set of post cards. Wow! Very nice, and I know that means a lot of hard work and dedication. Congratulations on the new Kubota tractor. Sounds like you’ve outfitted it nicely. If you haven’t already, consider...

    New whining noise

Did you change ranges from say low or medium to high (probably not if you were using the loader). I notice my L series has a bit of a whine in high range, it always has. I’m not certain, but I’d be surprised if the fuel pump was running the whole time the key was on since there was no demand...

New Tractor -rear tire bead leak

Congratulations on the new tractor. Increasing the tire pressure to spec is a good call to help reduce the leak. My Kubota manuals show filling the tire so the fluid to the top of the rim. No reduction in air pressure is mentioned. There really should be no leak at all. With the 3.5hr oneway...

How to determine selling price - B6100D

Well I could be off base on my assumption. I do believe the B6100/B6001 model was a part of the law suit, although I think the exact serial number also comes into play. I think something about when and how it was imported.

Which Root rake grapples are the toughest?

You might consider CDI Grapples. US made in North Carolina. With your 60 Hp unit the X-treme or Heavy Duty Skid Steer Grapple Rake might be of interest. Four hinge points for the upper half and all hinge points are actual greaseable pins. I just got the 66 inch standard duty unit. I’m pleased...
