One thing to think about is the gear drive models do not have a live pto, can be a pain depending on what you are running on the PTO.

I don't think it has anything to do with self leveling, they changed the brackets and added a boss and looks like its for a pin.

Looking at buying a 2601 with the la435 loader, saw some older pictures when they came out and looks like the lastest ones have a extra hole for a pln where it attaches to tractor. Did they add a safety pin to the new ones? Can't find a manual online? Thanks

The loader bolts do not go into the block, the welded blocks on frame are through holes.

They should have left a way for stuff to drain out. I drilled two tiny drain holes in mine. There are several low spots along the side of the casting, so very hard to get all cleaned out.

Several company's offer Kubota ecu upgrades, not sure if your model is something they do but you could ask. Goggle Kubota ecu tuning and you will find lots of reading. Not sure it is legal?

M14 is a 14mm bolt and 12mm is a 12mm bolt, bolts are sized by thread size not wrench size.

You should not have to heat anything, I have had the wheel off my l3200 and just slides on the splines. Are you using a lock washer under the nut?

Just bought a L2501 about a month ago, payment book was here two weeks after I signed the contract. We pay over the phone and about a week later we get a receipt in the mail. My last kubota was the same.
