The official kubota shear pins have some indentation where its designed to shear. Not sure I'd feel comfortable replacing that with a plain bolt. Just my 2 cents.

Hi boakley it doesn't say in your profile what tractor you have but quoting an RPM number alone isn't helpful. The engine rpm varies significantly between different size and model of tractors with respect to where the PTO is designed to operate at. On a BX tractor, this would be very low rpm.

Same here. I started by watching the needle in the yellow range like I stated in my post but it doesn't take to long before you can tell by the sound of the engine it becomes obvious very quickly.

I don't think running it at full (maximum) throttle is necessary. The goal should be to run the blower at PTO speed. On BX2380 there should be an rpm range in yellow on the dash. If the snow is very heavy and wet, perhaps you increase the throttle a little more so that when you engage the snow...

I'm using BX1880 here, so I have even less to work with than the 2380. I frequently have to go slower than I want to (forward speed). I run the snowblower at PTO designated RPM, which is were its designed to be run. Even with light snow, you do hit a max clear rate where it just can't empty...

If you are all invested in an air setup, this can cut tool cost sometimes. However the bosch/dewalt version of those electric shears are around $300. Even if the air version was half that, you'd still be paying a lot.

I recently used a power shear to make some fairly long cuts, 22 ga triple galvanized steel. Worked great. With a guide, should be fairly easy to keep it straight. Makes pretty clean cuts. This is what I used, worth every penny...

For the lights, I wired mine from the battery because I wanted to be able to turn the lights on with the ignition off. For the aux -- probably better to be after the ignition. I bet someone else has done that and can provide tips.

The bx1880 is the 'no frills' model, to get the price point as low as possible. On this model you can't get certain options like cruise control, adjustable steering wheel,armrests on the seat, etc. At least those options aren't available direct from Kubota -- I'm sure the dealer can get them...

This was the situation with mine. They had most of what I bought, however had to wait for grass catcher which they needed to order. The would have delivered without, but then I would have been charged for a separate trip to deliver it later.

I bought mine at the same time I bought the tractor, and so there was some savings there which I am not sure you will get when buying the attachment on its own. The price was in the ball park of %30 less then msrp. My guess is you should be able to get somewhere in the middle, maybe 12-15% less...

RCW already answered with best solution. If you want additional help while learning, lower the engine rpm to the low-end of the scale designated for the loader, i.e. 2100 rpm. The hydraulic pump develops nearly all of its power fairly quickly; the higher RPM just increases the flow rate (makes...
