    Box blade use?

I am also new to tractors. I bought a box blade last year to level the 650 foot driveway. I set it so that it was about level and did nothing when dragged, that is the front blade just cleared the surface. Then I shortened the top link until the front blade bit into the gravel surface and...

    Winter fuel question

I have been told in Northern Vermont to add between 25-50% kerosene to diesel in winter. As I am about up against winter now, I would be interested to know if this is a good idea or bad. Supposedly this will prevent gelling of fuel. Ed Hill

    Moving Stone

Do you have a picture of your wall? I too have big stones that the machine won't pick up but will push around. I want to move them 400 feet up hill, dig back a bank, and build a wall.

    Moving Stone

Has anyone had experience with moving large stone for building walls? I tried to move one of my smaller ones today with the B1750 front end loader and found it was too big to lift. I have heard of using "stone boats". Does anyone have experience with them or plans to build one?

    Newbie's New Cab.

Try Sims in Rutland, Mass. They make cabs and have accessories such as wipers and heaters. They have a web site as I recall. My sister has a guard dog like yours!

    Selfmade front mower

Wouldn't it be easier just to buy a finish mower for the three point hitch? I have a Land Pride 1648 that does a good job, and a Sybex from Italy that also does a good job. The Sybex mows a slightly wider area and has solid tires but otherwise the two machines are about the same. I use either...

    Buyer Beware!

So the grey machines are bureaucratically unsafe then. Beware big governement. (It is probably too late to say that with any real meaning). Nothing is safe with those who will not think ahead.

    b7200d dynamo and rectifier/regulator

Ken, I also have the same problem with a B7200. I took the dynamo apart and cleaned it, replaced the battery clamps, replaced the rectifier (you are right, quite a job to get to), and the best I got was about 2 minutes before the charge light came back on. If you remove the steering wheel, you...

    B7100 Hydrastatic Drive Pedel ?

I too am new to tractors. I have a B7200HST. There is a grease fitting on the pivot that the pedal is mounted upon. My guess is that it has not been greased for a long time. The pedal action on mine is easy. Good luck! Ed Hill

    Mower Blade Sharpening

OK, guys, thanks! I have a big wooden frame I can use to lift the deck. One at a time is a good suggestion, too!

    Mower Blade Sharpening

No, seriously, there are no dumb questions, just dumb people asking questions! I see the nut that hold on the blade, but what is the easiest way to get at the underside of the mower? You don't just lie on the ground and reach under, do you? Vic's advice about checking the radiator was valuable...

    Mower Blade Sharpening

Here is situation: long time amateur lawn mower, first time Kubota/Land Pride user. Previous mowers were Lawn Boy 2 cycle, so when it came time to sharpen, I turned the mower on it's side, removed the blade and either filed it in a vise or ground it on a wheel. I now have a Land Pride FDR1648...
