    Price of parts...Holy Cow!

This is a good illustration of the working of free markets. If one source becomes too high, and an item can be found elsewhere for less, you win!

    Front axle oil L345dt

I have a B1750 and an L4330 Kubota. In general, axle assemblies have a bottom drain plug and a higher fill plug. Oil should be poured in the upper plug until it is level with the opening. I think this is standard procedure for most oil bath gear assemblies. I prefer Amsoil 90 weight gear oil...

Roundtrip in the West. Like to meet?

Banff is beautiful. Thora and I were there in 1985. the Glacier National Park is worth a drive through. You take the "Going to the Sun" road west, turn around and drive back. When you are in New England, Plimoth Plantation is good, and if you have time, Old Sturbridge Village off the...

So many views and so few replies?

More views than replies is a bad thing? Many of us are limited to giving bad or questionable advice. Some of us are being conditioned by life to shut up and be quiet. Some of us are so new to tractors and equipment that we really have nothing to offer. God Bless those of you who have experience...

    Be Careful

This is why they are called accidents, Eric. The unexpected, unlikely, and rare events that can kill are waiting for everyone. All it takes is fatigue, low light conditions, pre-occupation with something else, or some other distraction, and there you are, dead or maimed. If it can happen to a...

I have a 60" 3 blade finish mower. It seems to mow the lawn in one pass with no slow down of engine.

    Tractor Cabs

I have a Sims cab on my B1750 and a Curtis with a heater on my L4330. No fogging problem without the heater. Both are soft side cabs with rear curtains. Both were on the tractors when I bought them. I will say that I like the heater so far. Weather has been zero or below here at night lately.

    Hydraulic leaks into Engine

Ed Hill can speak to this problem. I found I was leaving a trail of oil on the lawn. Discovered low transmission oil but high level of engine oil. I changed the seal in the hydraulic pump and all is well. While I had the B1750 apart, I installed new hoses for coolant and oil and changed over to...

No Start - Wiring problem - MICE!

Well, I don't know the details about the B7800 dash, but I have had experience with mouse nests in central air conditioning units. Look for any circuit boards they may have peed on, because every time they got into the AC, they ruined a board. I had to screen the entire unit and we usually put...

What Size Box Scraper - B2400

I have a 48" Land Pride box blade and use it on my 20 HP B1750 to good effect. My primary use is gravel driveway maintenance. One pass down on the side, return pass on the other side and a final run down the center and the drive looks great. I hope this information helps.

Too much oil to the top of motor

Further research in the shop manual indicates that the seal on the hydraulic pump drive is indeed the most likely source of excess oil in the engine. It is the same fluid as in the transmission but the transmission does not have a direct connection to the engine. This should result in much less...

Too much oil to the top of motor

I have a B1750 HSD and had oil spurt out the breather tube for the first time yesterday. The oil level is high on the engine dipstick. The oil in the HST is not high enough to reach the dipstick. My reading on forums indicates that the seal between the transmission and the engine is shot. I...

    48" vs 60" rear mower

I used a 48" Land Pride finish mower and upgraded to a 60" Sitrex SM-150 with no problems. Lawn is hilly, rolling and uneven. My B1750 (20HP) has no problem with the larger mower.

    B1750 hydraulics question

Try adjusting the valve under the seat to get the three point hitch to stay up. As for the loader, I think it is a different issue. I have the same machine. I can leave the mower in the air in back, parked for days, and it stays up. The loader gradually lowers while mowing, and I have to...

Looking at a 1750B. Have a few qestions.

I had a B8200 with a LandPride 48" mower. I had no problems with it. I replaced it with a B1750 and a Sitrex 60" mower just to gain the 1640A front end loader that came with it. I have no problems with it either. Pretty much the same with a little more power. The only thing I lost was the bull...

    1984 B8200E Charge light won't go off.

I also had this problem. As Vic mentioned, I found the generator full of dirt, so I cleaned it out. I replaced the rectifier. I replaced the molded ends on the battery cables. After all that, once I ran the unit for an hour or so mowing, the light went out. I think it was worth the effort!

Tow Vehicle?? What do you tow your Kubota with??

For all my towing, a 2006 F-250 diesel crew cab pickup with a short bed. I have a 14 foot utility trailer and a 27 foot Airstream. I should get a flatbed so that I can take advantage of opportunities on tractors and implements. I have to admit that I test drove a GMC diesel, and it drove and...
