    OK really smart guys

Maybe an axe could accidentally cut it in two. Or, just tell you granddaughter thanks, I appreciate the gift, but it's not a gift you can use, or some other excuse you can come up with, and insist on her taking it back. My daughter wanted to get me one for Christmas a couple of years ago, and...

    lost another one

I lost my younger sister at age 71 last month, a lifetime of smoking and drinking ruined her liver, kidneys and lungs. The last 10 years, after her husband passed from cancer (that's another story) she went down hill steadily. The last couple of years, she was mostly housebound except for doctor...

Don't think I ever saw a pickup with Keystone mags on it before.

    SSQA dimensions BX vs. L

I'm sure he would have a tape measure so you could compare dimensions. Do it over a Facetime session so you're comparing the same dimensions.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

That's one of the reasons I bought my BX, I got tired of swapping the cab, chains, weights and blower with the mower deck every spring and fall. So the JD 430 is on permanent snow removal duty now, which has only been a few hours a winter lately, and the BX handles the mowing and grounds...

    Homemade Generator

You didn't read all of my post I guess: I've used it three times since I finished it up a couple of years ago, and it works perfectly, powers anything in the house, well, A/C, electric range, etc. Burns a couple of quarts of fuel an hour running at 3600 RPM.

    Homemade Generator

Thanks! Also, the springs and axle are mounted on a subframe that comes off with six bolts so it can be set on a slab, and it has vibration dampening pads on all four corners of the frame to keep it from moving around.

    Homemade Generator

I built a 10KW genset with a Yanmar 3TA72 22HP engine and a generator I bought from Norther Hydraulics. The biggest problem I had was the coupling to connect the engine and generator, but I finally found one that works quite well. I've used it three times since I finished it up a couple of years...

The Beechcraft Travelairs and Twin Bonanza my dad had, all had gas fired heaters in the nose luggage compartments. Worked well, but were expensive to rebuild.

    Getting Old and Back Issues

I had sciatica really bad for several years. Went to a often recommended chiropractor for over three years. The treatments worked for about a half hour. max. I finally went to a spinal specialist surgeon, got x-rays and an MRI. He showed me on the MRI exactly where the problem was, L3, L4 and...

Bleeding stubborn diesel engine, good or bad way?

Have you tries bleeding the injector lines while the tank is pressurized? Open the throttle all the way, and turn the engine over slowly until you get each line bled. Just curious, what IH engine is it?

Would you buy the same tractor again or a different one?

My BX2230 does everything I need a tractor to do, so if I did buy another tractor, it would b a BX. Although I might splurge and get one with a backhoe next time.

Fixing hole in side of block

I've had a press exactly like that one for over 30 years. A guy in a pickup truck came around selling them one day, I needed one, so I bought it. I have used it a lot over the years, without any problems. I did put a little bend in the plate the jack pushes against at the top, while trying to...
