    Left-handed

I have a couple of them, a 7" and a 10". I like them for certain things because they have smooth jaws instead of grooved jaws, for gripping things you don't want to mar up. Excellent gripping power too. I have several Knipex pliers and side cutters and they are excellent quality.

    Who did I piss off??????

I had a Troy-Bilt 4 stroke weed eater for 10 years or so, always ran the fuel dry in the fall and checked the plug so it was ready for spring. It always started after a few pulls and ran great. A couple of years ago in the spring, I gassed it up to do some trimming and it refused to start...

Kubota BX2230 engine sound, is it normal?

Thant's good to hear. The air filter on the 2230s is a bad design, seems prone to breakage from engine vibrations.

If that was my place, there'd be three cases of lead poisoning shortly thereafter.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Mowing the grass is my summertime mental therapy. Get my headset on, listen to some blues on the local station and git'er done.

Kubota BX2230 engine sound, is it normal?

Sounds pretty much like my 2230. Those little three cylinder engines do shake and rattle a lot at low idle speeds, I rarely idle mine below 1400 rpm. Also I see the air filter vibrating quite a bit, check the mount at the fuel pump to make sure it isn't loose or broken. That's a common problem...

    Lets talk "3D printers"

I just made a holder fo my rolls of emery paper, rather than having them lie on a shelf and get knocked around and unwound. Printed it in two parts joined in the middle with 1/4" wood dowels.

    Printer Recommendations

I have an HP LaserJet 3050 AIO printer that I bought in 2006 that is still working and gets used daily. Just checked, and the print engine report shows over 97K pages printed, and over 31K pages faxed. All I've ever done to it is dust if off and change the toner cartridge every 3-5K pages. I...

    Lets talk "3D printers"

When I was assembling the engine for my Nova, I made a tool to hold the dial indicator to align the bellhousing with the crankshaft centerline.

    Lets talk "3D printers"

I printed some organizer trays for my taps and dies a while back. I print some new doodad I need probably once a week. I have a QiDi Tech printer I bought almost 10 years ago, and a Hypercube 300 core XY that I built from scratch. I used the QiDi to print a lot of the parts for the Hypercube. It...

Should moderators be elected by membership?

Sidecarflip AKA 5030 is over on TBN as I'm sure most of you know, and he seems to have seen the light and has mellowed out considerably. I had him on ignore initially, but have viewed some of his posts, and he seems to have changed his tune. Not that I would want him back here.

Anybody have any experience with a AFM eliminator?

I have the Range unit on my 2019 Suburban with a 5.3. No difference in fuel mileage, and I think it runs smoother in cruise.

29 pto hp from a BX

Ring gap might be something to consider also. Higher temperatures and pressures in the chamber heat up the pistons and rings. Hotter rings could expand enough to close the ring gap and destroy the rings and pistons. Gas engines that are going to be boosted always have larger ring gaps to allow...

    Influenza A -Z

I've been really lucky and haven't been sick for going on 30 years. I only remember being really sick twice, once in the early 70s with strep throat, and in the early 90s with the flu. But, I worked from home from the late 80s until I retired in 2019. I do go out almost every day to a store or...

    Post office

Back in the 70s, I was working at a local restaurant and the owner brought in a post card to her mother that was delivered to her house, the one her parents had lived in years before. The post card was postmarked sometime in 1947, and was in perfect condition, with a $.02 or $.03 stamp on it if...

    LA-211 Bucket Cylinder Reseal

I would just call Messick's and talk to someone there so you can get the correct parts.
