Difference between LA681 and LA682 loader

Thanks for the info. I wonder what exactly is different about the frame. Personally, I dislike the extra loader bracing that runs from the brush guard all the way back to the loader frame uprights. Since this tractor does not have an opening "hood" it makes it very difficult to slide the...

Difference between LA681 and LA682 loader

Hi, I have a 2002 Kubota L4310 tractor with a LA682 loader. However, all the specs I can find show this tractor should be equipped with an LA681 loader. Anyone know the difference, if any? Thanks in advance.

Side-slopes: If my B2920 could do it, can my L4310?

In fairness, I've done this job for two years mowing across the slopes and have been fine. This year I'm using the bigger machine and hence these questions. I know the field pretty well.

Side-slopes: If my B2920 could do it, can my L4310?

Shucks, I didn't see Grouse Feather's calculations until now. Here's a little more info: both tractors have R4 industrial tires. For the past two seasons, the B2920 was "stock." This year, I had the rear tires loaded to 80% and added 2" wheel spacers, widening the track by 4". The L4310...

Do I need to replace hydraulic fluid or just filter?

I'm going to bite the bullet and change the fluid and filter. Where could I dispose of 11 gallons of old Super UDT?

Side-slopes: If my B2920 could do it, can my L4310?

Thanks for all the advice, guys. I think it's mostly in my head. I will be careful.

Side-slopes: If my B2920 could do it, can my L4310?

How will I be able to "pry" the tractor to tip when it weighs 5,000lbs or more? Also, a moving tractor is less stable than a stationary one. I dunno. This just feels worse to me than the little B2920. It could be because that tractor is considerably shorter.

Do I need to replace hydraulic fluid or just filter?

It looks like the S-UDT will cost me about $200 for 10 gallons. I still have a gallon or so hanging around from the other tractor which should fill it completely. Filter isn't too expensive.

Do I need to replace hydraulic fluid or just filter?

Hi, Just bought a 2002 L4310 GST. It has 475 hours on it, one owner. The original owner said he always did yearly engine oil / filter changes, but that the fuel filter and hydraulic fluid / filter were original. I can see that the hydraulic suction filter is original because it is still painted...

Side-slopes: If my B2920 could do it, can my L4310?

For some reason this L "feels" a lot scarier than the B on the same slopes. Maybe it's just my inexperience with this larger tractor.

Side-slopes: If my B2920 could do it, can my L4310?

I'm mowing across. I'm aware the safest way is up and down. I have always mowed across though. I'm just wondering if the larger tractor will be better, worse, or about the same attempting this job.

Side-slopes: If my B2920 could do it, can my L4310?

I hate mowing side slopes, but unfortunately they are a fact of life for me. I've been mowing a particular jobsite which is listed at 3:1 slope. That may be an average, some areas seem steeper. 3:1 works to to about 19 degrees or 34% grade. For two years, I've been mowing this slope with a...

Just bought a 2002 L4310 - what maintenance needs to be done?

I just purchased a used 2002 L4310 tractor. It only has about 475 hours and is a one owner, stored inside. Seems like everything works well. It is a Glide Shift GST model. The owner told me he had the oil and filter done by a dealer last fall. However, he said the fuel filter is original, as is...

    B2920 Overheating while mowing

Guys, here's the follow up. Yesterday before mowing I removed the battery and used a garden hose to force water through the fins. Some crud came out. I had done this before, but without removing the battery or fan shroud. By removing the battery, I was able to get more crud out from the lower...

    B2920 Overheating while mowing

Anti-freeze will indeed dissipate heat...just not as well as plain water. That's why I said "antifreeze itself doesn't help cool" meaning in relation to the mix. Antifreeze can help raise the boiling point of water about 50 degrees above water, but in reality it is the pressure in a cooling...

    B2920 Overheating while mowing

Thanks for the replies, everyone. I'm leaning towards the radiator being plugged up with dust / dirt from summer mowing. I'm going to remove the fan shroud, battery, and overflow bottle, and give it a good rinsing with a low-pressure garden hose. If a bunch of dirt and dust comes out, then I...

    B2920 Overheating while mowing

Last year I pulled the thermostat to make sure it wasn't sticking. The tractor got new antifreeze then. Antifreeze itself doesn't help cool, it just prevents the water from freezing in the cooling system during the cold season. In fact, straight water cools better than a 50-50 mix of antifreeze...

    B2920 Overheating while mowing

I had this problem last year mowing, too. I usually get a ton of grass and wheat chaff that eventually covers the entire front grille. No problem, I get off every hour or so, brush the grille off, and continue on. The temps normally drop. Sometimes, the metal screen in front of the radiator is...
