    Storing Implements/Attachments?

I tried using search for this, but I'm looking for suggestions on how/where to store the implements & attachments I have for the BX. The BX lives in a garage, but its a smaller garage, 18x18 (ish). I have another riding mower in this garage as well, as well as a walk behind snowblower (both of...

Eek, that doesn't look like a fun job, but an engine hoist is pretty cheap to rent or buy used, so doable, but I've never removed an engine, could be a good project to give it a go though. But in reality I'd likely just pay someone to have it done ;) One thing in that thread that was talked...

I have the time and the skill, but I want the dealer to take a look at everything on the tractor and help me feel better about buying used. I will be doing the maintenance on the tractor moving forward, as I don't want to pay them $75 just to come pick up/drop off the thing + the $110/hr labor...

Any reason to never use it on a paved surface? I know the turning radius suffers, where it will skip, at least that's how my truck's 4 wheel drive system works. I think the only time I'd want to use the 4x4 on a paved surface, is when using the snow blower. Maybe I've reading too much in to the...

I'm not sure where the 'clutch' petal is on the BX, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't have one, as its a hydrostatic transmission, am I missing something?

Sorry, the lever was stuck, but I did as you said and was able to get it out of 4x4 mode, but it took more than what folks have mentioned to do, just took some extra time, so everything is good (unless there was damage caused by always being in 4x4 mode) with that portion. Yeah, I only use...

That is very interesting looking. Is this something that could happen while operating the tractor? I ask, since the tractor will be stored in a heated garage, and the only time it should experience anything like a cold snap, or sudden change of temperature, is when it leaves the garage.

I'm hoping adding an oz of this stuff doesn't cause any issue with non-gelled fuel? I will pick up the white bottle stuff and add that when I refuel. Thanks!

I'm a bit of a research nerd... I had read the manual twice before even purchasing the thing. When I went to look at it in person, I asked the previous owner questions about different things (as its different looking at them in person versus on a piece of digital paper) and he was like, not...

The mower deck has been removed for winter, previous owner had done that since I just got it a week ago, but it is something I do with my Ryobi riding mower - snow blade on, mower deck off - but good insights for anyone else looking to use their machine year round.

When you say an additive, are you talking about something that helps prevent the fuel from gelling up? I did add some Diesel 911 (from PowerServe) to winterize the diesel in the fuel tank, but are you talking about something like an 'octane' booster, which I used to use in high performance car...

I'll make sure to have them take a look at that, should I simply say I've noticed a bit of fluid coming from the quick connector?

Was just under $190 shipped, if anyone else is looking for the skid plate. Thanks again for the brand name.

Thanks for the information about the gear oil, I'm having the Kubota dealer come pick up the tractor and do an oil change as well as see what is leaking (hopefully under warranty), which I'll have them change the transmission fluid as well - I'd like to start off with this thing having 'factory'...

Pros and cons of snow removal options

Thanks, Maine is very different than the snow I've been used to, having spent 37 years in the Rockies (Colorado and Montana) - I know we got a few storms last year, its just been odd that it seems to be all rain this year, and I feel like its a bit of mother nature laughing at me for buying a...

Mystery Wire on B6000 with Large Female Spade Connector End?

I don't know tractors well, but I think you need something from this diagram, if not, maybe one of the other parts in the selector will get you what you need - https://www.messicks.com/KU/84574

Ooff - that's gotta hurt.. I only have battery operated yard equipment (until now), so should be pretty easy to not put the electrodes in the diesel for fill up ;) but, thanks for the information.

Thanks, that's kind of what I thought with the white filters. I do think the transmission was low, as there does appear to be an actual leak from the case.. I cleaned it off the best I could yesterday, and there was a new little puddle under there this morning, and it's clearly seeping from the...

Pros and cons of snow removal options

Great write up and thread! Since moving to Maine, I've tried several different methods of removing snow. I started with a shovel, sure it works, but it takes FOREVER. Then I added a snow blade to my Ryobi riding mower, and that thing works great with wet slushy or just a few inches of normal...

Sounds good on the transmission oil, and all suggested oils are MUCH cheaper than Mobil 1, so not trying to cheap out at all, I agree, I paid a good chunk of change for the machine and would like it to last. Thanks for the insights. I also forgot to mention I did check the front axle oil, and...
