    BX 2230 box blade

Tink - - you want a 48" to cover your wheel tracks, plus a little. Some have gone to 54", but I think a 60" is too big for a BX.

    Montana

Couldn’t agree more....unfortunately, I was born/raised a dairy farm-boy. It was a long time ago. My experience with dairy farmers is they don’t venture far from the home turf. They don't travel well, anyway. Old saying goes “you can take the boy out of the farm, but you can’t take the farm...

    Seeking Advice

I'm wondering if this a new operator issue...no offense intended to the OP. There is a ratio for 4 wheel drive operation, where the fronts pull just a little faster than the rears. Could cause the fronts to spin while the rears "shudder." I will also add that your little BX is not a...

    Montana

Just watched “Aerial America” episode on State of Montana. That’s beautiful country! I’ve never traveled much from my very rural part of upstate New York. Lots of places I’ll never see. Several years ago, there was a TV show about several different farm families in Montana. Caught my eye...

    What's cookin' boys?

sheepfarmer - - this is the book my wife recently bought. She had been looking at it for a while, and recently bought it. She says the author, Reinhart, was a teacher by profession and the recipes are quite descriptive.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Oh, I have chaps and cutter’s hard hat with screen and ear muffs, but it’s just cutting’ a little brush....😳 Being sarcastic....many years ago got hit with a widow maker right on the noggin. My hard hat was hanging from the side mirror of the truck.... When I told my father, he said “good...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

You got that right, my friend!:eek:😫 As soon as I felt the bar on my kneecap, I expected the worst.... but it didn’t even scrub the fabric. I had just sharpened the chain, and left it a little tight...stops quicker. If I was using the 046 Magnum, might not have been the same outcome.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Had the tractor with carry-all out picking up deadfall limbs around yard. Had a few decent sized maple limbs, and cut them down to 6 foot lengths. Was only using my baby MS211 Stihl. One forked limb rolled and pushed the bar into my knee!!😳😳 I’ve cut a lot of wood since 12 years old. I’m no...

Can a B2601 fit on my automobile lift?

I think so too. It does vary by tire type/wheel setting (for R1's).

Thanks for all the Answers, Ordered my B2601 Today!!!

No reason...have to learn somehow.. A rear remote is an additional hydraulic "circuit" in the back of the tractor. Think of your loader using 2 circuits; one lift/lower, the other curl/dump. These are just located in the back of the tractor with a separate control lever for each remote...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Just a quick review of the new gun. I put the Lock 'n Lube coupler on it. Was on the pneumatic gun before. Not sure I like it.....just yet. Stupid thing, but it sounds like a bucket of bolts rattlin' around when it runs. It just strikes as sounding "cheap," and that's a foolish...

Help me decide between two sheds!

Hours versus Miles comparison and Record-Keeping

Honestly, I don't think you can make a tractor hours versus road vehicle miles correlation. Too many variables with both...use, climate (salt/snow), storage inside/outside, etc... I guess you could look at depreciation schedules. Works for a farmer-business valuation, but that will not be...

Photo shoot anything lately? Random Photo Thread

Nothing says spring in the Northeast more than syrup season. Lighting wasn’t good, but the bubbles in the purple sap tubing were just screaming right to left, toward the gathering tank. Was 20 degrees this morning, and 63 degrees now.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

The cowl can not be removed with the grill guard in place. I can do most maintenance without removing the lower cowl. I typically change motor oil in the fall, as well as hydraulic fluid when I deem necessary. Both can easily be done without taking it off. It needs to be removed for...

My favorite pneumatic grease gun crapped out. Got a new grease for the Kubota and the old 'Moline. I have a large kit of Milwaukee M18 Fuel tools, so I didn't have another battery/charger, etc...

    What's cookin' boys?

NCAA Basketball Tournament demands popcorn. Keep your air poppers and microwave bags. I have the wire screen poppers for over a fire too. The way to cook popcorn is a big kettle with hot oil, followed by good old butter and plain old oiodized salt....the kind with the umbrella girl on it...
