Bucket down or up when tractor is off and stored.

After you catch an ankle on the Piranha Tooth bar, you learn this. Nice and flat. Rolled forward works too.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

By far, most expensive wheelbarrow I’ve ever owned.....you’re not hearing me complain! 😎

    Gravel driveway

I posted these in the “What did you do” thread. Gave it another couple passes with box blade and a LONG top link after work. Material is crusher run. Will probably touch it up with the box blade a couple more times, and then may hit it with a plate compactor. What looks like dirt in the last...

    After market non-Kubota filters?

When my BX was new, I bought a Fram equivalent motor oil filter. I had a Kubota filter in one hand, and the Fram in the other. The Fram just didn't seem "right." Fram is still on the shelf after 8 years.

A l ittle prayer for our friends in the GWN

Yesterday, talked to an acquaintance at the gas station that has just gotten over COVID. In his 50's and "kicked his ass for 10 days." He's younger than me. This morning, I spoke with a colleague that spent a while in the ICU with COVID. Couple weeks ago, it almost did her in. On the road...

Former farmboy - - used to shoot about 100/year. Had a good route of other farms I covered. Most was 11 in an evening, longest shot ~575 yards or so. Took personal offense if one lived within 300 yards of the house. Now live in a spot can't shoot at all. Have some under the old corn crib 40...

    Kubota 15W-40 Oil

'Freak - - - true, and that's where you experts are beyond me. In this case, Brad had a B2650 listed in his profile, so I assumed Tier IV was not in the cards. I assumed... Brad, what tractor we talkin' about?

    Kubota 15W-40 Oil

Brad - -- - Oil and hydraulic fluid topics are common here. Hydraulic fluid is usually the most hotly debated....there's one going on now. That and whether you should/should not drain hydraulic fluid at 50 hours....well, everyone has an opinion, kinda like everyone has an a-hole... The...

    Kubota 15W-40 Oil

Many say the hydraulic fluid is Valvoline, but I'm not sure I've seen the manufacturer of the motor oil..... Early on, I switched to Shell Rotella T6 5w-40, a full synthetic. The 5w helped winter cold starts greatly. I think the manual for many models calls for 10w-30 motor oil.

Pros and Cons of portable shelters for K tractors?

I brought the‘Moline from my parents last fall. They have a carport with metal roof I will get when I can. Over the winter, this was my cover.....there’s a poly tarp under the green canvas..... We had 36” of snow overnight back in December. Not sure a fabric shelter would hold up.

    Fried ECU

Jay - - I remember you saying that in the OTT thread I had on that car. This car was bought at auction by dealer friends of ours just for my son. They made $0 on the deal, and put a lot of effort into it. Fordtech wondered if the car had an accident/damage history. I didn't seen any...

    Fried ECU

SDT - - - count me in as one of the group that's never heard of it.... I'm far from an expert with modern automotive technology. I guess I'll stick to doing easy brake jobs, filling the windshield washer fluid, and tinkering with my 70 year old 'Moline.....:geek: My son had a recurring...

Best way to grease zerk fittings

I admit sometimes I do raise the booms and roll the bucket down to grease it. Makes it go quicker and I don’t have to get down to the zerks. It’s a little BX and I’m tall. It is better with everything on the ground.

Are You Going to? How many? What Kinds? How Often? - ROFLMAO

True. Like I said, interesting question. Like you said, speculation, and there will be a lot of that for a while. Maybe we’ll know more as time goes on.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Material almost gone.....another 5 yards would have been good. Not happy with the job, but better than before. I’ll re-smooth everything after a while and may rent a plate compactor to pound it all down.
