    No work!

No work! ... for the cat again. :) Just keeping watch that I am not being attacked by mice while pulling weeds out of the gravel before paving ... A job I really love ... ;) But I am out of paving grit and delivery is coming Thursday, so not much else to do. And very comfortable 19°C (66F)...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Where I live it is not allowed to burn branches from the garden any more. But it is allowed to have an open fire to prepare food. So having a sausage on a stick ready is of advantage in case somebody comes checking. 🤣

    No work!

We have an electronic cat flap that only opens for her, so she can come in any time. Last autumn there were a bunch of people here hunting foxes with dogs and she was outside. They came so quickly that I could not do anything, so I thought that is the end of our cat, the dogs will smell and get...

    No work!

Hmmm... good question. I never heard it before I did this project. I think it is not used in Ireland, it is simply always too cold for that 🤣 p.s.: just asked my wife. She never heard it either. p.p.s: in the project we used "feel temperature" where I combined wind chill and heat index into...

    No work!

Now this is hot... The highest I've ever seen was a bit over 100F, and there I could not move a lot. Here in the south of Ireland the highest temperature ever is about 25°C (77 F) and normal summer day temperatures would be around 20°C (68 F). So unfortunately I don't have an excuse not to work...

    No work!

Yes, you are 100% right with this ! I do the paving, and the cat, see picture. :) Well, looks like a lot, but I have over 75% done. And I earn about 6 times doing the paving compared to what I earn designing electronics. The quotations I got were unreal. Nobody wants to do physical work any...

    No work!

Are you serious? 117F? That's 47°C ... I could not even work from 6-8 in those temperatures, all I could do is lying in a tub of water, throw in a few ice cubes every now and then and make sure cold beer supply does not run out :) P.s.: you should check "heat-index", did not know...

    No work!

Actually, you do not need a lot of maths. It is more measuring precisely and then moving things around in a drawing until everything fits and looks good. An hour at the desk saves you a day outside, I found. See my wrong angle :giggle: Your nephews work looks amazing ! And yes, it is...

    No work!

I am afraid our little cat cannot see what I've done. Thanks to the "care" of a neighbour she is blind for the past 18 months. We were told by the vet never to leave her outside again because she cannot defend herself against other cats. But she wants to be outside and we thought it would be...

    No work!

It was 16C (61F) in the south of Ireland today, good working conditions and I took advantage of it and did more paving of the driveway. Only 120 squaremeters left to do .... (144 squareyards).

    Kabata rim paint

For the colour of the wheels I figured RAL 1015 is very close to my original rims, but it looked too yellow-ish compared to some other parts on the tractor so I mixed RAL 1015 with RAL 9010 with a 50:50 ratio. I am happy with the result, you can see pictures here: G1900 wheels painted (pictures...

    What’s with all the SPAM?

Is it possible that all those airline contact phone numbers were not genuine and that they pretend to be the airline and try to get credit card numbers when people phone?

Using the drawbar to pull a trailer

Unless it is a braked trailer. I have a car trailer with overrun brakes.

Pictures please! We love seeing pictures :)

    Dealer runaround?

But this is exactly what GreensvilleJay meant. Why don't they do it straight away instead of selling the tractor that the customer expects to collect straight away and then telling him after the purchase: "sorry you have to wait a few days because we have to do repairs on the new tractor".

Think about that being the alcoholic cart. Would be almost a two week supply :)

    Reviving a G1900

Post #39 ( Link post #39) in this thread shows a tacho sensor that works on the flywheel. Similar sensors are available off the shelf, I just wanted a smaller one (see picture) Passive automotive ABS sensors should work on the teeth too. Make sure your tacho can handle the frequency (4.6kHz at...

    Nomenclature

I think they always add one and then round (up?). Makes the tractor (psychologically) more powerful. :) My G1900 has 18hp.

    Dealer runaround?

The dealer is not selling the tractors? They are only for display and eventually will be scrapped? I am a bit confused now ...

Belly mount GF1800E went bang, then smoke

I cannot see any (major) oil in the area of the glow plugs and injectors. All the dust is still there. Check the glow plugs, replace if required and get your engine started and see if it runs properly. If yes, fix the radiator. We know that it is burst and there would be a bang and a lot of...
