"Burnishing" your new brakes. WTF......... Now I've heard it all. (I'm raising the Bullsh!t flag)

So there I am minding my own business when my SIL calls me up and asks me the proper way to "burnish" his trailer brakes/rotors that he just replaced? I said "WTF are you talking about? Never heard of it........Sounds like some internet BS to me. You just put them on, take it it around the...

Nice score! I have been wanting to add one to my Chi-Com mini mill for forever. It's on "The List" for sure, and with the Big A's "prime days".......who knows? ;)

I'm pretty sure you have to post it to Rumble (or Youtube) and then just link it here.

    Bucket list? Fork-it list?

I do that all the time. But it rarely works out for me. I usually either forget, or just try to finish the "more important" job and put the job that was on the list, a little further down on the list. Which begins a "vicious cycle" and your list grows "exponentially". I think my list is...

    Tractor under water

I think the amount of electronics on that machine will be a huge factor. I would also put emphasis on @Dustball first sentence. Do not crank it until you have made sure there is no water in the cylinders My order of operations would be something like this. 1. Tear tractor down and clean...

    Rusty Bucket

Not yet. The bottle claims that it needs to be painted after it sets up in order to work "correctly". I'm not sure if it's worth the effort at this point. At some point the rust will win, so I have to be "somewhat practical" I suppose. I'm currently just trying to make the body last a few...

    Rusty Bucket

+1 on the Ospho if your going to do something about the rust. I just bought a gallon and I'm "experimenting" on my truck. The "rust battle" is a losing one here in MI, but I keep at it to at least "prolong the inevitable".

How far to push the hydraulics

I have dug quite a few stumps out with my machine. It sounds like your doing it correctly, or at least the same as me anyhow. Depending on how many more stumps you have to do, I would highly recommend a ripper tooth. I have the BXpanded version, and it will turn your BH into a pretty good...

Welcome sir! Thats a nice machine you have there and of course, I love that backhoe. (y) Love your shop as well. My mom recently had her floor done with an epoxy coating similar to yours, and although it looks fantastic, I recently installed a garage door opener for her and when I would drop...

48" Land Pride vs. Land Shark Box Blade...which is better?

That was a major deciding factor for me when I was deciding. I ended up with a Homestead Pinnacle series due to those "special clips". The pins are a simple, yet effective design, and in my opinion those clips could/will become a major PITA if/when you lose one. I have "no dog in the fight"...

    Punctured rear tire, L-35, thoughts/advice?

I can't see why a plug wouldn't work. However, I am thinking that it will take someone with "Superman strength" to perform the actual plugging action. (In the traditional way anyhow) I know there is a Yuge difference between my truck tires and my wifes minivan tires. (and the older I get...

That used to happen all the time to me. It especially pissed me off when the card would reject it on the 2nd or 3rd time. Then I started paying first and just guessing how much I needed. If you guess too high, they only charge your card for the amount you pumped, not what you "over paid" for...

Are all pallet forks created equal?

Great advice above. I opted for the longer forks on my machine. (IIRC the weight difference was only 25 lbs'ish) My dealer suggested the shorter forks cause he said "You can damage the thing behind the load your moving if they stick too far out." Now if I was in a "dishwasher" warehouse...

    Swift-Tach delete.

I had to look up what that system does, so I am not familiar with it. Kinda looks cool in the Messicks video I watched. My 2501 has a more of a "manual style" removal system, but I rarely take mine off. How you you take your loader off now? And is your new way superior to "shimming" the...

Max safe depth for water crossing?

I have "dipped" a few truck/automtive exhausts in the water when taking boats in and out, and I have never had a problem stalling them. But as per usual, I am sure there is a "point of no return" that some "Num-nut" will try to surpass. Like this guy. hahahahah Man I would have loved to...

    First day with the tractor...

I couldn't agree more! I love my ripper tooth, and the 'Quick attach" is awesome. I will say that I kept losing the "quick clasp' for the pin when I was digging, so I ended up swapping it out for a "Nylock nut and bolt", but it only adds a few seconds and sure beats "searching for that pin....LOL

A question for the ages..........What do "those people" do, when they can't find their 11/16 drill bit, but don't have a lathe?????

I do have a 4 jaw. And I certainly need to explore the options I have. One day, when I get to tell "The Man" where to stick his job, I will have more time to explore/experiment. One of my favorite songs, by my favorite Country singer.....(when Country was actually Country, not this "pop star...
