Looking at building a steel shop?

Take your time and see what others in your area chose for their building type. If you can afford to get the shop of dreams in one shot great, if not consider expandable end walls, height for future lean to, etc. Here's a question can a shop every be too big?

    Flat Faced Hydraulic Connectors

I wouldn't think how they connect to the tractor matters, as long as the coupling side (male/female) is compatible with your equipment. and polarized correctly.

Pending the battery's age/condition confirm that the posts, terminals and connection points (positive/negative) are clean (not just tight!), if a replacement is deemed necessary, take the three measurements and get one with the highest cold cranking amps that fits.

Black diesel? (Not in a tractor)

I use smudge pots to get rid of my waste oil. I find it's easier than starting campfires and when I go in for the night, just close the shutter and lid, next morning just fire it up.

B7500 will only start when jumped by running truck

I assume both battery posts/terminals are clean. Sounds like a bad battery ground cable (is it the woven type) or where the ground connects to the engine needs cleaning. To prove, take one jumper cable and go from the negative on the battery and connect the other end to the starter mounting bolt.

    Need advice from lumberjacks/lumberjills

I'd have someone come in with a large excavator with a thumb, dig around and push it over stump and all. While you cut up the tree, let him take down the chicken house and dig you a pit, shove everything in the hole and burn it all. When you bring a dozer to remove the topsoil (save for later)...

If the rod is the only thing broken and the other parts are still attached, just purchase the rod. I'd suggest changing it yourself. Purchase a WSM which will show how to properly adjust it.

Check the parts diagram, if the flywheel has damage you may need to have it resurfaced and it would be the time to change the rear seal. Front transmission seal? Make up some pilot pins and have a disk aliment shaft, to make reassembly easier.

    Deed Question regarding survey description

In your first post you indicated that you shouldn't worry about it, but it worried you enough to ask. Not sure about you, but when I was growing up, I watched my than my fair share of Westerns and still do, I'd bet that over 80% were based on land grabs and disputes. The Indians didn't worry...
