    Winter Diesel Treatment Review

From a purely anti gel perspective, it appears that the bottom 4 are the ones to avoid.

    My snow removal/traction dilemma

This (or something similar) is what I believe most use. There are also professional models that cost up to $700. Tire Groover

Interesting data on Engine wear vs prefilled vs non filled oil filter changes.

If it's anything like the Jeep 3.6, there is no check valve, so it drains ~95% of the oil back into the engine after just sitting for a bit.

    Tire choice for snow removal

Valid point. I definitely consider the consistency in my decision of whether to add the ballast box or not.

    Tire choice for snow removal

Weight in the rear is definitely your friend. I'd estimate my ballast box at ~700lbs between the large rocks and sand fill. With ~3" of snow, I'm fine without it, but with 6" or more, (especially with the heavy wet stuff) it makes a huge difference.

Interesting data on Engine wear vs prefilled vs non filled oil filter changes.

Fun fact, the LX2610 oil filter is also mounted horizontally, so disregard my previous statement. Clearly, my mind has regressed over the past few years 😞. I do miss the '97 TJ that I had though... On my wife's 2018 JL 3.6, the filter housing/element actually sits vertically on the top of the...

Interesting data on Engine wear vs prefilled vs non filled oil filter changes.

Well, the oil filter on my 5.0 F150 installs horizontally on the front of the engine so I don't have any options. I will likely continue to prefill the oil filter on my tractor, mainly out of habit. Cant wait for @North Idaho Wolfman to comment on both prefilling the diesel fuel filter and the...

Battery Replacement - - Best Practices?

I'm not too far behind you in age and I have worked on all sorts of vehicles my entire life. Was definitely easier when cars/trucks didn't have a mini-computer for every component that is ultimately controlled by a larger computer. I miss the days where you only needed to confirm that it had...

Battery Replacement - - Best Practices?

Your first two steps are what I have always used and I have never had an issue replacing batteries. #6 is only necessary to maintain settings like radio presets which are lost if power is removed for a period of time.

    Does tire grooving really work?

The R14's have a center lug that makes riding on pavement more enjoyable than on R4's.

    B2601 electrical problem

Having had rodent issues, I would trace and investigate all wires from the ignition to the starter. It sounds like there is an issue somewhere both preventing it from starting with the key and allowing it to be hot wired with the PTO engaged.

    Inevitable?

I also expect to see a lot of insurance companies no longer offering insurance in the state and not renewing existing policies. Similar to what happened in Florida over the past couple years.

    Inevitable?

That is terrible, but sadly, not surprising.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I just looked up the Land Pride replacements and they were $150 for the pair 😮. A few moments later, I found these for $40 and thought, challenge accepted...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

What's weird is I didn't even hit anything with it (today at least). Was stacking snow at the end of the driveway and it just fell off. I'm guessing that it was cracked from a prior incident and the single digit temps today put it over the edge.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Finally got to plow some snow! Unfortunately, one of the end markers didn't stick around until the end of the job.
