That only happens when diesel fuel is spilled, and not promptly cleaned off. Same happens when gasoline is spilled on car paint.

I have the little Quincy as well. An RPM comparison number will tell the real noise story.

I know that Baldwins are good filters, but others will constantly preach Kubota ONLY. ...........As if Kubota makes their own filters.

I will go against the OTT grain here. I use Baldwin (industrial quality brand) filters without issue.
