    G1800 Should I buy?

I'll be that guy. Firstly, yes, sounds like a reasonable buy, although I know little about G1800s. But secondly, are you sure you don't want a BX? A loader, 3ph and PTO give so many more options for good things you could do. And being a tractor site and all, we tend to encourage people to...

Adding switches or switch panel to B2601

I added a switch to the panel of my B2601 for a sprayer or fertiliser spreader (basically a power lead to the rear of the tractor, to which I plug electric things). Just a simple rocker switch in the dash.

Another 1st Time Buyer Help Thread

I think an M is bigger than you need, and an HST is an advantage. Given you have hills, I think 4wd is a good idea, it's a good idea in general on a modern tractor. L or Grand L would be great for the size/tasks you describe. It sounds like you have a bit more flexibility on price if you do...

    Kubota Easy Over Mower Deck

My BX I used to pull out the side (hard work), or I'd lift the front wheels with the loader, then pull it out forwards by hand (a bit easier). On the B the deck is heavier than I want to lug around. Driving over it is easy, and it never skids around. To be fair, I do it on the lawn, so it's...

Interested in purchasing a Kubota RTV-X 1140 UTV

I'm pretty sure that if I suggest to my wife that I screw her on the bed and then she do some shovelling....well, let's just say it wouldn't go well.

Interested in purchasing a Kubota RTV-X 1140 UTV

Back blade on your tractor, or back blade on the RTV? Seems like there must be a solution that mostly or entirely avoids any shovelling at all. Says he who lives in a country where we don't get snow on the ground.....

Interested in purchasing a Kubota RTV-X 1140 UTV

How does the V-plow go across the front of your garage? Would you not want a straight angle plow to push it away from the garage?

Hydraulic outlets on B2601 for log splitter

OK, update on this thread, I've gotten around to pictures. The side fitting I was able to go with an elbow and an adaptor, that fit well enough. Copper washer to seal it, although that wasn't actually necessary. The fitting on the top of the transmission didn't work with the adaptor and elbow...

    MX series any good?

So, coming back to the OP's situation, where would you be trailering the MX too? It looks like it's 3700 lbs without the loader. The loader does come off reasonably easily. Would you need the loader when you trailer it, could you trailer the loader separately the few times you need it? If you...

    Assistance Requested

I'm with @InTheWoods - it's similar to trying to put a loader on an older tractor. You're much better to sell the machine and buy one that is how you want it, rather than substantially changing your machine. The B7300 will be worth reasonable money to someone who doesn't need power steering...

    MX series any good?

I'm not familiar with the Massey Ferguson models, but it looks like your Massey is quite small. Are you really sure you want to spend that much on an MX, but get it in 2wd and no loader? An MX would be way more capable than a SCUT, you'd never regret getting one in 4wd and with a loader. You...

    New BX23S question

Is that what we in the rest of the world call a "Euro Hitch"? Similar in concept to an SSQA, but quite different mechanically. I think more durable and reliable, but also potentially heavier.

    Kubota Easy Over Mower Deck

I think there's two sorts of drive over deck. The B series (my B2601) has a drive over deck that is literally that. A deck you can drive over. It's a bit stronger. I find it way easier than skidding the deck out sideways, as I normally take the deck off on grass, not on concrete. The BX series...

    Walk Behind Spreader

I've never done salt, not needed in my part of the world I have one of these, which I took the arms off and made a 3pt hitch bracket, and I already had a socket wired in that I use for my sprayer. So I can switch it on and off from the dash, and I added a stick to the lever that opens and...

New Member: Knowledge needed on M6040, 7040 (or others)

The tractor has more potential. You could conceivably damage the mower by having too much HP for it, but that's unlikely if it has a slip clutch or a shear bolt. It's more that if you're buying a bigger tractor to do more, it seems funny to them put the same attachment on it .... and therefore...

    First Tractor Advice

In my part of the world, a lot of people use the frame that comes around an IBC tote. In NZ terms they're 1000L, so I guess that's 250 gallons. They look kind of like this: Once you take the plastic out of them they make a pretty good frame for a safe(ish) work platform.

Thinking about trading my L2501 for a L2502

I'm kind of aligned here. The L2502 has some more features, but they're not really game changers. For the money you'll spend turning an L2501 into an L2502, you could get a 3rd function and grapple, or a top and tilt kit, or an offset flail mower, or a tiller. Would you get more value from the...

Thinking about going from B2601 to L series

Yeah, looks like the backhoe and cab don't go together. Do you have a backhoe on your B2601? What's your use for a backhoe? Options are: If your B2601 has a backhoe, keep it. The value of the B2601 might not be that much more than getting the backhoe for the MX....and two tractors is better...

Need advice, rear hydraulics, top and tilt

Your first maintenance may be a bit harder with a land plane. Every use thereafter I believe will be easier. You may be able to borrow a box blade for that first go (if the land plane can't do it).

    Kubota zd221

If it's just a head gasket, surely you can do that yourself? It's not a hard job. And the local shop will put tubes in the tires, but tires with a slow leak aren't exactly something that will stop someone buying it. The head gasket is the real issue. Otherwise, as people have said, less than...
