Can the 3pt hold a position?

Makes sense now;) Will give it a peek. Thanks for the response. Let everyone know what I find out. Hopefully it's something simple and I'm just a clueless idiot (I'm good with that cause I'm used to it!) Again, thanks!

Can the 3pt hold a position?

Could you clarify the 'position control' and 'we have two' part please? I was raised on a Massey Ferguson TO-20. Wherever you left the lever position wise, the 3pt stayed in that position until you told it to do otherwise. That's why this is a puzzle to me. There are positioning stops on the...

Can the 3pt hold a position?

4' Countryline, 345lbs. The FEL and BH would drop overnight, but not while watching it in under 30 seconds.

Can the 3pt hold a position?

BX22, bush hog on the back. 3 point goes up, but won't hold that 'up' position. Is it the adjustment on the end? Did I finally dick something up? Knob under the seat slows it down, but it doesn't stop it. Only way to hold position is to hold the lever in the up position. Anything I'm missing?

    Has anyone ever....(snowblower related)

June 2012, given to the wife of 2nd Amendment fighter Dick Heller. Google 'millerized heller kidney', photo's and story are available. I was up and moving 2 days after the donation, home on the 3rd day. Took it easy until day 6, then hit Home Depot for plywood and 2x4's for a project at the...

    Has anyone ever....(snowblower related)

Sorry about the absence. Been over 2yrs since my last post, but 'life' added a few twists and turns in there that needed attended to. (guns, girls, kidney donation....the list seems endless) My question: Has anyone ever modified snow-blowers to fit the FRONT of their tractors? I picked up a...

    L3700SU, your cover is coated....

Steel needs to be kept clean and dry. I blasted his top again once I got ready for the oven. If it sets more than a day or 2, it needs blasted again. Flash rust will occur in minutes in a moist environment. Blast a piece, dip it in water for a few seconds, then take it out and wipe a white...

    L3700SU, your cover is coated....

"Just" is right. It needed the brackets edges touched up when I opened the door cause it was touching the sides. It's not 100%, but it's 80% or better. Sheen isn't all gloss from side to side :( (because it had to be shot 4 times to get complete coverage) but it is all orange now. Brackets...

    L3700SU, your cover is coated....

Mr. Blair, I have a pretty large piece of orange stuff in my oven that needs to come your direction this week or so. ;) All 100+lbs of it:) Getting ready to pull this out when it cools, then do the support bars and brackets. Crap....Going to be a bitch lot of fun getting this out and loaded...

    Tire chains and wheel spacers

Oh. Gotcha. Just didn't make sense why there were nuts there if the flange was threaded, and the adapter plate was just another 'rim' so to speak. I happen to know this guy in WV with a 3'x4'x7' powder oven, several pounds of Kubota orange and gray, and a bit of leave time coming between now...

    Tire chains and wheel spacers

May I ask as to why the mounting bolt installation isn't all the same? Meaning, why aren't all the bolts facing the same way, with the nuts on the outside, and the bolt heads on the inside? "In, back or down" for bolt and fastener installation was what we were taught in 'plane fixin' school'...

    Auto Parts HELP!!!

Knuckles usually don't wear out, but the bearing and race usually does. Junk yard is going to be your only solution now. Maybe post a wanted ad in the local craigslist? Good luck.

Any reason 'NOT' to stud tires?

Not a big chance it'll ever see pavement with the exception of my concrete garage floor and my 40' asphalt driveway. All dirt with the exception of those areas. Getting another set of rims/tires, while not in the budget right now may be a possibility in the future. But, once studded, there...

Any reason 'NOT' to stud tires?

Careful now..... To be fair, my brother spent 2 seasons on the ice in Antarctica...these type of tracks were common on everything from buses to a few ATV. They work just dandy, and you can also stud the tracks with ice spikes. Just no way you can lose with this system. Go ahead, buy...

Any reason 'NOT' to stud tires?

Was going to reply to your holes comment, but it done disappeared on me :) Why no chains? Only the fact that I have the gun and the studs, and don't have chains right now. Not that I'm precluded from purchasing chains, just want to use what I have. One mentioned the clearances are slim for...

Any reason 'NOT' to stud tires?

Have a fridge full. No hurry for this, tho. I usually don't see snow of any quantity until late December at the earliest. Great part is that I don't have to dismount these tires to drill the holes like I did on motorcycle tires. But, yeah, it'll be a lot of holes. Figure 4 to 5 per...

Any reason 'NOT' to stud tires?

Just checked, 2 1/2 boxes....1000 per box = 2500 studs....that should do at least the outside of the tire;) Wondering how thick the sidewalls are:eek: Kidding. I've got approximately 2500 of the 11mm studs below. They're 11mm tall, and about 3/16" diameter. Hardest part about the whole...

    Rough Running BX

That would probably explain why the BX22 I'm running never shows less than 3/4 of a tank....even when coasting down a hill after running out of go juice. Something to check this weekend. Good catch!
