Multi-Metal Rust Risk? Should I just weld this sucker?

I'm welding together a bolt-on receiver & hook widget for my box blade. This began as a willy-nilly project, and as such I planned on it being bolt-on in case it didn't work out as expected. (of course, I'd paint it first.) But, today's research binge indicates dissimilar metals create...

First Breakage! What'd I break? B2601 (peg on loader arms?)

Ohhhhhh good news. That makes sense. It seemed silly to have such a tiny peg for anything serious. Thanks!

First Breakage! What'd I break? B2601 (peg on loader arms?)

Whelp, I hit a piece of limestone pretty hard and a few minutes later, I noticed a thingy swinging below the bucket arms. Didn't seem normal... I propped it back up, barely, and the bucket somehow still seems to work....which begs the question "what the heck is it for then?" The peg is bent.

    6' Rock Rake for B2601?

Good points. I was hoping that it would collect the large rocks, while mixing/burying the small ones into the soil a bit. Any chances of that happening?

    6' Rock Rake for B2601?

I got our sloped yard all fixed up & grass planted before vacationing in Italy. While vacationing in Italy, a massive wind+rain+hail storm came through, damaged house/cars/etc, and more grievously - washed away the loose dirt & seed, leaving a bunch of rocks on the surface. I can rent a 5'...

B2601 w/ R4's: Getting 2" wheel spacers for back. Get them for front too?

great! Thanks both for the advice and steering me away from senseless money spending.

New B2601. Thanks for the advice!

My main concern was stability. Though wider, it's quite a bit taller than the BX I had previously borrowed. But, I think the R4 tires must help quite a bit. They don't have any bobble/wobble (bwobble?), and I feel quite a bit more stable w/ this machine. Also, per your advice I got the 5'...

$500 for Quick Attach Bucket? Buying B2601 in a few hours)

Where did you find a blank plate for 100-150? I'd buy at least one of those.

B2601 w/ R4's: Getting 2" wheel spacers for back. Get them for front too?

Seems like front spacers may improve stability a bit when using the FEL. Thoughts? Considerations?

$500 for Quick Attach Bucket? Buying B2601 in a few hours)

Figured it may be handy to attach skid steer style attachments at some point, but can’t figure out which ones I’ll ever actually need. Maybe pallet forks, but clamp-on pallet forks can be bought for a couple hundred $$. Any opinions on if I should spend or splurge?

B2601 Wheel Spacers: Where'd you get them? (Dealer says Kubota doesn't love the idea)

Did you put them on front & back or just back?

B2601 Wheel Spacers: Where'd you get them? (Dealer says Kubota doesn't love the idea)

Thanks, looks like about $300. Sat on the 2601 today and it seems like 4" wider stance would be nice.

B2601 Wheel Spacers: Where'd you get them? (Dealer says Kubota doesn't love the idea)

I wondered the same, and after seeing your comment I called a dealer 30 minutes away, who said Kubota doesn't sell them for that size, but Kubota doesn't necessarily care if they're installed.

Horsepower aside, is the BX2680 an upgrade over the BX1870?

This is important for me, and the main reason I'm considering a B2601. Odd thing is, the pump output is 6.2 GPM on both the 70 and the 80. What else affects the scoopability?

Horsepower aside, is the BX2680 an upgrade over the BX1870?

Dealer said the 2380/2680 frame is larger than the frame of the 1870 I'd been borrowing from a friend. Is the BX2680 notably different than the 1870 in any important ways?

B2601 Wheel Spacers: Where'd you get them? (Dealer says Kubota doesn't love the idea)

Getting closer to buying something soon. Thanks for the advice on the last thread. When I asked about the rear wheel spacers, the salesman thought I'd have to get advice on the forums, as Kubota doesn't like doing that. Is it a 3rd party thing? Or do I press him to look?

What's the rough cost for that quick wrist flick? This sounds insanely handy.
