    b8200 3 pt hydraulic issues

When you cleaned the control box, did you make any adjustments to the relief valves or the nut on the push rod? Did you check to ensure the spool drive lever was connected? It is tricky when you re-assembly. If it is connected, the feedback arm should move when you move the control lever...

    Update: L35 Won't Move

Per Wolfman, I measured the ports on the GST valve and all were within range, and checked all linkages. After a couple of days removing the FEL and everything else. I was finally ready to split the tractor. Today I split the tractor expecting to go into the GST. I found the clutch disc...

L3301 hydraulic filter keeps blowing out

I had similar problem with B8200HST. I finally found that the relief valve in the block valve was not functional. This caused the fluid in the pipe from the FEL and the normal charging line to the 3pt controller to overwhelm/pressurize the hydraulic filter.

Future Reference for Shims Hydraulic Block

I ordered the shims for the hydraulic block for a B8200HST. All the shims for the relief valve were missing. I could not find the thicknesses for the shims, but now I have measured them for future reference. Part 67111-37530 0.25mm Part 67111-37580 0.75mm Part 67810-37590 0.30mm

    GST Clutch Frozen?

Would there be any advantage to removing the GST valve and looking inside? But I am certain that I do not know what to look for, even when splitting the tractor.

    GST Clutch Frozen?

It was dis-engaged for a long time. It suggests to me that the clutch is now engaging because the PTO works in neutral and in gear. But tractor does not move. Based on the WSM, the transmission main shaft has to rotate for the PTO to operate, right?

    GST Clutch Frozen?

I checked the PTO with the tractor in gear and shuttle forward. PTO runs and I could not stop it by using a 2x4 wedged onto it.

    GST Clutch Frozen?

MR. S I did not check it when in gear. I did test it in neutral and it appeared to be working. I attempted to stop it turning using a 2x4, but I could not. Not a fail proof test, but it suggests that the clutch is working. I will test the PTO today. Thanks for the followup.

    GST Clutch Frozen?

The L35 will try to move forward/reverse, but it feels like the clutch is slipping. I checked the GST valve test points for system pressure, clutch pack pressure, relief valve setting and pilot valve pressure. All tested within specs. I have been shifting gears and shuttle arm and now the...

    Broken Hydraulic Filter Housing

Finally got back to the B8200 and the broken hydraulic bracket and blowing the seal from the hydraulic filter. I pulled the relief valve in the hydraulic block and found that there were no shims in it. This reduced the pressure to permit continuous flow to the 3pt controller from the pump...

    GST Clutch Frozen?

Wolf man You are correct about the leak from exhaust manifold. I forgot to use sealant on the studs. Now back to the clutch issue. First look says the pressure test points are behind the mounting bracket for the backhoe. Since the power steering is working, does that mean the GST is being...

    GST Clutch Frozen?

Thanks Wolfman...I appreciate you. I do have power steering. When I turn it hard, it jerks somewhat. I have not pressure tested the trans, but will do that. In testing the power steering, I noticed that the PTO will work in neutral, but not in gear. Not normal. Now I have a bigger problem...

    GST Clutch Frozen?

The L35 GST was stored with the clutch dis-engaged outside for several years because it was not running. Engine and hydraulics are now working. Engaging the clutch petal has no effect on engine like it is not engaging. The PTO does not work although it locks with lever. Any thoughts on how to...

    L35 Timing Window

I should have stated that I followed Wolfman's and others advice before I did the compression check. I verified the valve lash was in spec and that the valve springs and rockers were moving as expected. Tomorrow, I will do a leak down test to confirm it's the piston. After I remove the head...

    L35 Timing Window

Bad Day Monday Did the compression test. One cylinder was essentially zero. Since the head was just rebuilt, the issue is probably the piston rings....could also be cylinder liner or broken piston. This is the cylinder that part of the glow plug fell into. No unusual noise during cranking...

    L35 Timing Window

Now I am worried about the compression. I did not check it after I put the refurbished head back on. I will check it this afternoon if it stops raining

    L35 Timing Window

Re: L35 Timing Window and Not Starting Unfortunately, I do not know the history of the tractor. So I do not know if any of the fuel components have been removed. The tractor would not start when I bought it. The glow plugs were shorted to the head. When I removed them, part of one glow plug...

    L35 Timing Window

The L35 will not fire up. I was thinking that it must be timing. Battery is new, compression is about 300, new valves, seatd, etc. fluid at the injectors. Tested injectors when rebuilt head. All safety switches relays were removed, straight wire to starter and glow plugs. Glow plugs tested...
