I am not Ed nor do I have Ed's expertise. But just from an old grease monkey I would say that is the source of your sounds. And it looks like damage from the outside.:D Dusty

    7100 HST operation question

No you do not have to run it at full throttle. But yes hydrostatic transmissions like their rpms up. If you are working the tractor like pushing snow or cutting grass or blowing snow then get your rpms up. You don't have to be a full throttle but close to it. If you are just tooting down the...

    New member, new-to-me B7200hstd

I would be thinking that if you can run it on a gear drive 7200 then you can run it on a hydrostat 7200. For that matter I am almost positive you can.:D Dusty P.S. I have been wrong before.:D

Dextron to UDT & tractor is ticked off.

I just did a bit of work on my B8200hsd part of which was changing the hydralic fluid from dextron (automatic trans fluid ) to universal hydraulic oil. This morning was the first time I started the tractor cold -3c and you could tell that the hydraulic pump was working harder than usual. The...

B8200 black smoke and no power. Ideas?

This little valve down by your foot? Does it have a hex nut head on it. It may be the valve that controls where the hydraulic fluid goes and where it doesn't. From the sound of it you are dead heading your hydraulic pump. In other words fluid is going to that valve and no where else. Which can...

    LA 723 Front End Loader

Well I am certainly no expert on this but, since no one else has answered I will put my two cents worth in. First I would check the loader mounts to make sure that nothing there is out of place. If you stressed something so hard that it bent the loader then you have to make sure that the rest of...

    B8200 hsd

Thanks Paul. I guess it turned out OK. Pictures lie! But it looks alot better than it did, and it got some much needed repairs. But I plan on keeping the tractor ( God and the money tree willing ). So the other repairs I can do as time and money allow.:D Dusty

    B8200 hsd

Thanks Guys. The tractor is done. I replaced the O rings on the banjo fitting and that fixed the leak. The oil that came out still did not look that great, so I put new fluid in again. I got the headlights working but have not tackled the turn signals. Found the problem though, the back of the...

    snow blade attached to bucket

I am kind of of the same mind Ds. I made a simple quick attach plate for my b8200. Made forks and a simple 5ft push blade. Takes 2 min to change. I put big skids on the bottom of the blade. The more you tilt it foward the more it digs in the more you tilt it back the less it digs in. Once you...

    B8200 hsd

Got the light from Napa. Ideal Supply in my part of the country. Some where around $40. The centre is removable 4 bolts. I may make one out of expanded metal for summer. The grill was not built to look original but does attach to the tractor with a single spring just like original. It is painted...

Adding power steering to a B8200

Thats great news Ds. It will seem like a new tractor. I spent prettyclose to $600.00 to put power steering on the B7200. I figured it was worth it. So at $300 you got a bonus.:D Dusty
