    B8200 busted power steering

I didn't bend the shaft. I peened the end of it. Not a big fix but it will take me an hour or so. Vic there is still a ton of things to do, seized clutch for one,and leaks that I don't even want to think about.First I have to find a time when I don't need it. Up untill like now when it decides...

    B8200 busted power steering

It is apart and everything looks good other than the bearings which are toast. I think I have the same joint as you Randy. It looks in good shape. I think what saved it was the power assist. Heres a pic. Parts will be here in the morning.:D Dusty

    B8200 busted power steering

Hi Randy. Thanks for the great link that helps a bunch. My box has some thing similar but I don't think it is exactly the same. I will for sure be having a close look at it. I don't want to do this twice. The power assist on this tractor is just a cylinder with a valve on it that uses the...

    B8200 busted power steering

Box has to come out.Bearings are shot big time. And using that bigger hammer is going to cost me some time to fix up the top of that steering shaft. I was just going to replace the bearings but if anyone has done this before any clues to what else I might need.:eek::eek: Dusty:D:D

Steering wheel is off. Dash is off. I do not want to remove the steering box. I am going to try to fix it in the tractor.I do NOT want to plow all these driveways with the steiner. But I will take it as it comes. Good idea with drilling the holes Sockpuppet I just used a bigger hammer. Thanks...

    B8200 busted power steering

Thanks for the reply Sockpuppet. It is in the steering box. I haven't got it apart yet. The steering wheel is being stubborn.I sprayed it down with wd40 and I will let it sit for a couple of hours. Untill I can get the steering wheel off I am kind of at a stand still. Wish me luck.:D Dusty

    Kubota's for Work or Play?

Hi Eric. Like you my Kubota does double duty. My son and son in law use it for landscaping and I use it for snow removal. But I also use it for everything else around the house. Summer yard stuff like Garden gnomes and butterflies and all that garden crap goes into a 4 x 4 box and gets put up on...

    Snow man

I never thought of the funniest home video thing. I will remember a vid camera for the next snowman. The stay puff guy never thought of that either. The quick attach is an old style quick attach with two tapered pins. I will try to take a couple of pics tomorrow. It is home built and I was...

    Wheel weights

I bought a 6500 watt at an auction for $200.00 about six years ago. It has run all of about an hour in the last six years. I figure its pretty cheap insurance. Buy a good generator and the power will never go out.:D:D Dusty
