    Battery Disconnect Switch

Yup, it depends where you live. Like so many things, targets are selected for convenience and success.

    Battery Disconnect Switch

This is the stuff of a cultural Icon in these times: Repairs by Joe Smith. Security by Joe Smith. Cultural remediation by Joe Smith. Humor by Joe Smith. Lastly for 2028, Joe Smith for President - Independent. We don't need no immigration laws, just melt them into the population. We don't need...

    Battery Disconnect Switch

Sometimes the easiest stuff is the most effective. So I still say dogs. But removing a tire is excellent.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

When we actually get snow deep enough to clear the steep, boulder filled logging trail I use Big Bertha. I take her down the grade with the 8' bucket at least 6 inches above the road. The tires/chains mash things nicely. On the way back up I fix problem spots. I never want to hit a boulder that...

Fixing hole in side of block

Somewhere down the road these problem areas are gonna be a real mess to repair properly. Or if you call someone they'll say "Ain't no way I'll try to fix that."

Fixing hole in side of block

The above is the only possible reason that this thread keeps going.

    Battery Disconnect Switch

A dog or two works well. We like Catahoula dogs as they have other uses than security. Honestly, this is their place and they just keep us around for their convenience. Actually, the dogs are 7 years old now. The Wife told me last week that she found a breeder and bought a female pup. It'll be...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Today I looked over my B7100 from the kitchen window. Everything looked pretty normal so I refilled my coffee cup and sat down to analyze everything I saw. This is the kind of tractor work I like to do in the winter. Tomorrow I plan to ponder if it will start if needed. One thing is for sure...

Good solar battery tender for ATV in shed..?

BTW, we've lived off grid for a long time. In the end everything electrical around here ends up relying on a battery somewhere along the way. Personally I would have LFP04 batteries in everything and will when the technology evolves to where there is not a low temperature imitation or the crazy...

Good solar battery tender for ATV in shed..?

Darn batteries get kind of expensive over time, don't they? Not to mention the inconvenience of a battery that has depleted when ya need the rig. Or the wear and tear on the battery from having it go low repetitively. All I have to say is this...

Fixing driveway ruts before it gets cold again, worth it?

I've always practiced adding material to fix a road and to avoid grading except to smooth material added. And by 'material' I refer to something that will interlock and pack and not melt or wash away. This all depends on your road base and what is easy and economical to have in your location.

    Hydraulic loss

Yup. Couldn't host a WebEx via DishNet. Someone else had to do it and I chimed in via audio. Seriously, I'd have to say something like "Over and out" so they knew when they could speak after 4-6 seconds so not to talk over one another. So many folk got frustrated with me. And I was in IT. I'd...

    Hydraulic loss

We've had Starlink for 3 years and despite what people think of Musk it is the first time we have a way to make calls (via WiFi) since we've been here. We are absolutely indebted for the success of the project.

For where we live the only good thing about carrying the phone is I have a camera along with me.

    Front wheels

I reversed the front wheels on my B7100 a bazillion years ago. And yes, reversed the tires. Keep in mind the front axle has it's pivot point so you don't gain stability to speak of.... The best stability is conscious driving and rear ballast. For me the backhoe attachment is sufficient rear...

Happy New Year from Summit Hydraullic

So y'all have replacement cylinders for the B219 loader and the B670 backhoe?

OK now I am starting to worry

Hopefully the form you returned was written better than the above post.

    Daily Chuckle

Just me but 'body art' usually isn't attractive. I have seen attractive artwork and appreciate it yet some stuff looks like the people should be in a travelling circus.

    Daily Chuckle

Umm, seen that a bunch of times. The absolute worst was a Carman/Welder stretching the oxy/ace hoses over the tracks to get to the other side.

Lets see your weld on bucket hooks

Both the tractors have chain attachments but where I really like the welded hook is on the receiver hitch of the Gator.
