    Another newbi ?

The glowplug controller is on the right side of (under) the dash as you are sitting on the seat. Mine is black and is the larger of the two, that is the glowplug relay and controller. I unplugged the wire that goes from the glowplug relay to the glowplugs, that way the glowplugs weren't...

    L35 Maint question (s)

Yes, I have, twice. Once on my own and once by the good folks at Kubota. When I did it myself, I think I got one of the seals in upside-down and it leaked. The problem for me is that I don't have a press. I made up a home-made process using a c-clamp or two and needed 4 hands to get it done...

    Another newbi ?

My glowplug system was also acting crazy, somewhat like you described. I posted a thread several months ago on the issue. I don't have time to find it, but to make a long story short, it is the glowplug controller that was bad. I by-passed the controller by hooking a push-button switch to...

    L35 Maint question (s)

Sorry, missed the question on the glow plug. I'll go back and look. Sounds like you had a wonderful Easter dinner, especially the lemon pie! Below is the directions for changing the oil on the front end of an L35. Topping off the fluid level is the same. I also attached a spec sheet on the...

    L35 Maint question (s)

Hey misterb, I'll go over to the shop and find my owner's manual, take it to work tomorrow, make a pdf of the page on the front axle, and post it here on OTT. Like SDV said, I used 80W/90 in mine. I'll also post the capacity of the front axle. Got any other questions while I'm looking?

    Spring has Sprung

Spring is here in the Ft. Worth area. The L35 has been busy moving mulch, tilled the garden, served as a work bench, moved brush w/ the forks and moved gravel. Tomorrow I hope to hook up the grader blade and blade our road and then grade to the neighbor's road (plan to take pics and post here...

    Took the plunge

Misterb - I'd avoid the Case oil. The reason is Kubota Super UDT is specifically made for the Kubota transmissions to work in cold climates. Here in the FTW area, we can get by just using Kubota UDT oil. On mine, I broke a hydraulic line late on Sat when the dealer was closed. It dumped a...

    Took the plunge

Misterb - I have owned 1998 L35 for 7 years now. They are great machines. Eric's advice is right on. I bought my service/parts manuals from the dealer and paid quite a bit. There are several other sources available and some a listed in this forum. When you change the transmission fluid, be...

    Tips on operating grading scraper

Marty - I have a 6' grader blade almost identical to the one you are purchasing. On mine, the depth of the blades is fixed whereas the one you are buying is adjustable. I've only used mine on my road, not on a parking lot. I've found that it carries plenty of material to fill pot holes unless...

    Front end loader trouble

I don't know if this is your problem, but it happened to my dad's M4030. The bucket got real slow whether curling up or down. Turned out I'd bent the rams while loading logs. I replaced the cylinders with new ones and everything works fine now.

    Draw Bar II w/ Winch

Thanks the compliments and advice. I really like the quick plugs for jumper cables. I'd love to have several of them. What I used was taken from the junk that I had on hand, including the battery, robbed from the travel trailer. Thanks again.

    Draw Bar II w/ Winch

For those of you who wondered how I hooked up my winch to the drawbar, here are pictures of my setup. I bolted the winch to a hitch receiver portable winch mount, mounted the battery to temporary platform bolted to the drawbar, ran a charging wire from the starter to the + side of the battery...

    Draw Bar II

I noted the nice job jb62901 did with his drawbar and thought I'd show the one I constructed about 6 years ago. Since I had the quick hitch, I built the drawbar to fit it. And since I hate to paint and only lived about 15 miles from a place that galvanizes steel, I had both the quick hitch and...

    Kubota tiller question???

As promised, here are the Kubota tiller pictures. As you can see, I am not a painter. On the 3rd pic, you can see how I modified the 3 pt hitch. This was done when I first started welding. It isn't pretty, but it works.

    Kubota tiller question???

I'll see if I can take some pics tomorrow and get them posted. I wondered about your straight tine question. The old ones on this one were worn to the point that they were almost straight. The new ones are curved.

    Kubota tiller question???

tiger9297, I found an old grey market Kubota tiller that sounds like the one you described. It had guage wells on the back (that I threw away) and I had to redo the 3-point hitch. But it works great. It is on my tractor right now and used it yesterday. I've replaced the teeth once. Vic in...

    front end loader for 7200hst

rlcokc, you can always buy one from Kubota, but it will be pricey! My dad has used Bush-Hog FEL's on two different tractors and they worked well. There are a good number of other after-market brands out there probably just as good, I just don't have any experience with them. If you go with...
