    Pulling teeth

if i make my own plate for it, it wont be a random grade steel. I got a good friend who works with steel for a living, anything heavy duty he helps me build.

    Open faced tractor shed project

110 sq ft is our max before a permit as well. I thought about building 2 adjacent structures that were 1’ apart. Contractor buddy said I’d be pushing my luck if the Township ever stopped by. But at the same time. I’m on a first name basis with the manager lol

    Driveway Expansion

This is the pic I tried to post earlier. That’s about 1/2 the length of the expansion promised the wife I’d leave the pear tree alone. this is one of the many places I have available to put dirt. I need to raise that entire area up so there isn’t a “swamp” at the fire pit. That fire pit was...

    Bx23s ballast question

ballast weight isn’t on the tires, it’s in the tires. BX23S weighs about 3000lbs set up ready as a TLB. I will keep running mine like this until I see a problem and if I run into an issue, I will post about it.

    Bx23s ballast question

I have been running my 23s with loaded tires for a while and I’m always switching between my BH and 3pt. Without the hoe and using the box blade as ballast when working, I noticed the tractor is a lot more stable and planted with the tires filled. With The weight of the BH on the back I don’t...

    Driveway Expansion

This is connected to beside my current driveway. I’m just expanding from 2 to 3-4 cars wide about 1/3 of my driveway. Edit, I have lots of room for fill. Every yard I pull out to move elsewhere is one less yard I have to buy. I’m planning on about 40 tons of fill, 20-40 tons of top soil, 20...

    Driveway Expansion

The picture didn’t attach I will try to fix that. this area is just clay everywhere. Talked to a pro who lives down the road. He recommended digging it all down 8” and then getting a load of pit run and layering it 6” thick then topping it off with 3/4. The pit run will slow down Mother Earth...

    Driveway Expansion

I need to dig that down 8”. Not easy with a straight edge bucket. I don’t want to break it up with the tiller since there could be whatever under it. Bit slower but I broke it up with the BH teeth. After I get it to about 6” I will toss on the box blade and rip the last bit out and move it all...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Just finished moving everything, my ssqa-v, snow blower, tiller to beside the garage, tossed the grapple and box blade on my trailer, put on the backhoe and moved the trailer onto the front yard. Getting a big rotten tree taken down this weekend and I had everything sitting beside it. Will be...

    Is 3200 hrs high for a L4330?

no need for nomex, if Im searching to buy something (truck for example) used and pictures show it dirty, coffee cups on the floor, 1“ of dust on the dash. It’s not going to make my list to go and look at. My BX is far from immaculate but I wash it on a regular basis and follow the maintence...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

That’s sucks. Knock on wood i haven’t hit anything on accident yet. I always try to keep my head on a swivel when moving. Never looking at the same thing for too long. I did get really close to the wife’s bumper one day, close enough that she moved her car lol

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Cleaning up the old beast of a finishing mower. Anyone know if it’s possible to cap off the side discharge and turn this into a rear discharge? Is there anything different underneath a deck depending on the discharge? I can cut and weld no problem. Someone in the past cut out above the one...

    Pulling teeth

I have some ditch work to do, anyone just pull the teeth off their backhoe bucket to avoid teeth marks where they are digging? I did a bunch of it already but I’d like it a bit smoother.

Why a center pivot on the front axle?

Take a bx23s weighs 3000lbs. Go to fill the bucket and lift 600 lbs. the suspension would have to be able to handle that plus the breakout force. A

    Driveway Expansion

my goal is to be able to park all the trailers, and then room to have everything on gravel all winter instead of always having something parked on the lawn. I am lucky that I have access to free winter storage for my camper and my boat. Speaking of the boat... I said 4 trailers in my first post...

    Driveway Expansion

Go I don’t know how much of a base I will use, most of my property is thick heavy clay. So pretty much whatever I put down eventually will get swallowed up by Mother Nature. Probably toss down 22 tons of mixed 3/4minus. That will cover the entire expansion in about 4” then after a little while...
