    B6000 losing life?

Hello all: I have a B6000. It is a really tough little animal. However, I have noticed that the engine is losing power. I know I am using (abusing) this tractor. Pushing a 6' high pile of snow, plowing a 300' road, and clearing driveways is alot. But, it is getting noticably weaker in high...

B6000 and PTO Reverser in Aus

Did you get the reverser? I would like one too! But it does look like you will have to modify the base to fit your B6000 I know my bolting face has a 'taper' to the bolts. it looks like you could braze on some more material and re drill the lower set of holes. Heck, for 150, you could...

    New to me B6000

Your questions DO have answers! The steering box does have some replacement parts. The trouble is finding someone who is parting out their B6000. I would think JB weld would be able to mend the box, but I am not certain how to ensure NO jbweld would get onto, and into the gears themselves...

B7100 - What is this and can I use this for what I want

looks to me like that is a mount for a MMM mid mount mower. a fel frame goes from about where this starts, all the way to the front. i believe a fel frame would have uprights on it, and this appears to have an 'axle' type hole in it which would sort of indicate something riding down from it...

    B6000 to buy or not?

do a search on this forum. there was about 6 months ago a good informative posting about wheel size, and how the front tires MUST be overrunning, to keepthe gear differential not tearing itself up. Regarding tires, have you called your local firestone dealer (an actual tire dealer, not a...

    B6000 to buy or not?

HUGE IMPORTANCE:: The tractor does NOT have a water pump. The cooling method is called THERMOSYPHON. This is a fancy way to say, it cools by convection. For this to work the antifreeze level MUST be above the top hose. The theory is that hot water rises, and cold water sinks, so the...

strange hydraulic problem, can anyone assist.

Rob: are you using the tractors built in Hyd pump or have you (or someone else) mounted an external pump and/or tank? My previous pics show the original 3ph lever, with an aftermarket diverter valve. but either way the fluid is shunted, it goes back into the gear case. The gear case IS this...

strange hydraulic problem, can anyone assist.

do u have a valve like this on the top of the 3PH piston cover? This is how I get my HYD fluid out, and as mentioned, The return goes directly into the cap for the gear case. This is not really a professional answer, but it does work. This is the other view top down of the valve with the...

    B6100DT 3ph cylinder

Good for you to get er done! One issue I have had on reassembly is the cover oring is easily torn or pinched and ripped when re assembling it. I had the take it off and put a new one in twice until I got the hang of correctly squarely re inserting the cover/cap into the piston housing.

    b6000

well, considering the age: the parts add up to be worth around 3000 alone. the tractor is so old the value is only worth what you think it is. However, the implements alone for resale value are worth something! you may have issues with such an old tractor if it was not maintained properly...

    B6000 advice

GMS: the rotation only has to do with rotary implements (bushhog, post hole auger, Pto driven finish mowers, ETC) the 3PH will work fine to haul, plow, blade, rake, or other implements that only use the 3PH to lift and lower. HOWEVER, in addition to the CCW rotation, if you do want to use...

    B219 Loader hydraulic oil

Well, youv'e got me stumped. Do you have a seperate hyd pump for the FEL? Mine uses the gear oil from the rear gear case, which is piped up to the hyd pump, then it goes to the FEL. the return goes back into the gear case. How exactly is yours powered? do you have a front mounted hyd...

    B6000 overheating

As others mentioned your B6000 does NOT have a water pump. it works by the difference in hot water rising, and flowing through the radiator, and then as it cools (comparatively) it flows back down into the engine. I think the term thermosiphon is the technical term for this. There MUST be a...

any major parts for a B6000 will be take offs from one being scrapped. some places have starters and alternators from other machines which fit. (check Ebay) here is where I get my info for kubota parts. WWW.yenibiz.com although this is from belgium, you can find out what is available...

    B6000 PTO shaft

the easiest way i can think of is to unbolt the rops, and reinstall it one set of holes higher. that way the tiller can fit. however i think the rops would lose strength by being attatched by only 4 bolts (instead of 6 like the directions said) but this would make the top link not be able to...

    B6000 PTO shaft

Here is a pic of the ROPS bracket, and showing how the base is too large to allow the tiller to fit to the gear box. here is the tiller face plate, and showing where the axel (for lack of a better word) is that hits the bracket. And this is what the inside of the rops gear case looks like...

    Warning decals

Is that politically correct..... #$%& yeah! Reminds me of all the $%^& I got when i bought my B6000. "It's so old" "why did you buy THAT" "you're crazy, why do we need that?" Then last summer after replanting 8 huge (to me) arborvitaes, and other stuff around the yard she says; " You know...

    B6000 PTO shaft

well, if it has 18 splines, that would be the one! If you have it, yes i would be interested! OOC, did you buy yours off craigslist last year? I saw one on there from middle CT. Just wondering. On second thought, if you bought the reverser from hub city, you must have had this for some...
