    Plenty of seat time

Looks like a great time Paul. But I too think you need at least 2 more accessories made for your tractor. First a snow bucket could make for a more efficient use of time as long as you could make more money in the process. And secondly, I think you need to fab a mount for your video cam. Don't...

Geographicly Speaking, where to find Kubota parts

Around the breadbasket area seems to have a lot of combine salvage yards. if you can get a copy of Fastline magazine, a paid classified periodical has several ads that are specific for your geographic area. my ky version list some from AL, Neb, and I think ND or SD. If memory serves, Fastline...

    "B" Steering gear rebuild

Well folks I got really Blessed. I found a few ball nut assembly's in someones stash that fit my B7100. since my shaft was probably beyond welding and re-machining, I did a little trading. All in all the trade went well, it only took a stack of those green things we call dollars!!! My problem...

    pto question/problem/

A roll pin is not a solid pin per se. It is a pin that is made of thick sheet steel rolled into a tube shape. that allows the pin to be a slight bit springy that would allow placement that retains itself into position. they are used in places that do not get taken apart often if at all. More...

    Old Kubota tiller

Well i used my B7100 pulling a 12 single bottom. 4X4 made a real difference for me. That extra cyl. didn't hurt either. theres something to be said for more cubic inches. If your a good fabricator or have one in the family find some old 8 or 10 inch sleeve hitch garden tractor plows and make...

    Old Kubota tiller

Just a 'for what it's worth' moment, thats an awful small tractor to till/plow that much acreage. I'll tell you how I know, I tried it last year. the place hadn't been cultivated in at least 30 yrs. HARD was a good word for the rear portion and swampy for the front. overall I ended up with about...

    OH NO...It didn't!!!!

At this point, unless i find a used ball nut assembly thats good, the only thing I know to do is contact a machine shop. I wouldn't mine welding it up myself but i lost my big shop space and my welders are in storage with my other big tools. Anyone have other ideas? vic, anyone? kytim

    LED lighting

Hey Wildfire, have you figured the amp draw of your light pkg? Being LED i'm sure it would be much less than expected. have you seen any failures of LED's that can be attributed to vibration or shock? I currently have "no" lighting at all. I would hate to fab up front rear and flashers to have...

L5450 Axle oil leak, shocked at what I found

First, welcome to our little community. the lack of replies seems to indicate that no one has seen this instance before. Did they loosen, were they left un-torqued? anything is possible I suppose. Have you repaired it yet? Kytim

    Steering wheel removal

Good advise! That would be as bad as what happened when the box failed except you wouldn't be thinking it was possible again to lose steering. Maybe a drop or two of removable loc-tite would be a good idea. kytim

    OH NO...It didn't!!!!

If anyone has been following my travels through my gear box failure, it's finally apart. The steering wheel was a pain in the butt, well I survived that so its time for the next round. I found that the weep hole was open, the upper bushing was half out of the column. The gear box had about an...

    Steering wheel removal

Well it's off! As was suggested, just find a gear puller that is just "A lot BIGGER" that the last one(s) used. I purchased a puller that was/is rated for 6ton. Wow. what a crack of a sound it made when it finally came loose. And again, the truth was told about the big puller's use. The pressure...
