L2501DT does not have the same transmission as the other L series. It's an awful single stage, not like the more common two stage.

I use the curved piece to hook my chain to the grapple for pulling logs I can't get to. I know DOM is strong stuff but I wouldn't feel good about hooking a chain to it. I have no science or proof the back up that assumption. Maybe someone else does.
