    Battery

You are correct about bad ground however I found out the battery was shorted. Installed new battery from Tractor Supply earlier and fired right up. They are labeled Traveler but are built by Interstate. Let's see how long this one last. Thanks for all the input! Especially good to learn I have a...

    Battery

Ok I just learned it's called a dynomo not an alternator! Good info Dave, I will check output tomorrow with my Fluke...Also I did notice 2 of the battery cells were low on water,(plates exposed) this alone could be my issue..topped them off and plugged in the battery tender. I'm not sure if I...

    Battery

I know 12.5 is not enough but it was steadily climbing while I was checking it so the alternator is putting out..the battery just isn't accepting it..no amp meter and belt is tight. I realize you never get the same longevity out of the 2nd battery in anything but Im thinking 4 years isn't...

    Battery

So the original battery in my 2006 B7800 lasted 10 years...4 years ago I installed an Interstate which I consider to be one of the best batteries period. Yesterday I went to start the tractor and nothing but clicking. Jumped it off and started right up. After mowing 5 acres I shut it off and...

Very good idea! That crossed my mind but I didn't think I would be able to space it high enough. Worth a try! Thanks for providing that photo! Dave

    2006 B7800 original seat

Okay, I have hated my seat from day one. The bottom is angled down and I always find myself sliding my butt back against the rear of the seat while mowing my 5 acres. Anyone else had this issue and what seat did you replace it with? I have attached a photo of tractor. You can see what I'm...

    Deck wheels

So my RC72 deck wheels on my belly mower are getting worn down rather much. I called my Kubota dealer and they want $117.00 EACH! Does anyone have an alternate source for these little overpriced wheels? $468.00 is absurd!!

    72" mower deck removal

Thanks! I bought that 1978 C-101 from the father of a friend in 1997..It def did not look like that! I restored it then and actually used it to mow 3 acres until I bought my Kubota July 2006. It was at that point I restored it again. It has had an easier life since the Kubota.

    72" mower deck removal

So I had the need after 6 years now to remove my 72" RC72 belly mower from B7800 to install and adjust my new RB72 rear blade for snow I hope we don't get! I had a problem doing it the way the service manual dictates by chocking the casters and just simply backing over the deck. The mower deck...

    Belt Tensioner RC72 BELLY DECK

I have a 2006 B7800 with a RC72 (72") belly deck. Cutting grass this weekend the belt tensioner bracket broke off right at the mounting of the assy on the deck. I was baffled how this could happen since it is 3/8" solid steel. I removed it from the deck to inspect closer and noticed the grease...
