    L3700SU, your cover is coated....

Mounted canopy and took it into the woods today. I'm glad I made my own out of steel instead of buying a plastic or fiberglass one. I ran into a leaning tree while position to pull a log out. Had it not been #11 gauge steel, I'm afraid it would have been damaged. As it was, no damage and...

Looks like you did a great job. My canopy looks great in that color. I can't wait to get it back and put it on. Call me or send an email to arrange pickup. Looks like it just fit in your oven. Thanks Jim.

    Tire chains and wheel spacers

This Kubota came that way, I beleive, to use the two studs to help align the wheel when installing. I wish these were powdercoated. I scratched a little paint installing.

    Tire chains and wheel spacers

Thanks for the advice. I did tighten several times before mounting the wheels and even triple checked the wheel bolts with a torque wrench but I'll go over them again after I use it a little while.

    Tire chains and wheel spacers

carl That's all relative Carl. My time may be more valuable making the money that allowed me to buy these. Glad you had access to the equipment, materials and the time to make your own. Maybe when I retire, that time will be available to me. You did a fine job with yours BTW. I'm happy with...

    Tire chains and wheel spacers

I recently ordered a pair of wheel spacers from The Tracks Company. I had them made to 3" and they came with all the hardware necessary for an easy installation. They looked to be well engineered and excellent quality. I believe they'll serve me well for years to come. I was a little shy of...

    Rear weights ant 3ph bracket

They were flame cut 1" thick x 23-1/2" diameter. Since they were drops from a job we did years ago I got them for less than scrap price. Yes they are heavy. I made the bracket so I could load them without having to pick them up. Just tilt them and slide them on. I may knock the rust off them one...

    Rear weights ant 3ph bracket

Even with fluid in the rear tires the tractor was too light in the rear to make my bucket teeth worth while. With a scrap steel purchase and a few hours in the machine shop, where I work, Wah lah! It's like a little dozer now. I just cleared an overgrown fence row I've been wanting to remove for...

    Extending tire chains

Well you are absolutely correct on two statements. (1) I didn't need the tool (2) I sweated like a bulldog having pups. I went through my tool box and found a pair of ceramic tile trimming pliers ($8-$10) Haven't used them in 15 years and an 8" straight screw driver. The trimming pliers fit...

    Extending tire chains

Yep, that's what mine look like. I'll try them in a vise with a prying bar and/or screw driver. If it gets to be too cumbersome, I guess I'll have to break down and buy the tool. Thanks for the help guys. Hopefully I will not need them anymore this year. If anyone has a pair of chain pliers I...

    Extending tire chains

Hi Guys, new here. I just replaced my old reliable B1700 with an L3700SU. I had just purchased tire chains last year and now I need to extend them. They are 71" long now(22" dia.x 11" tire) and I need to extend them to 119" to fit the bigger tires(38" dia x 13"). They are the 2-link style(23"...
