Hurricanes are problematic!! The house we own now is on the White Oak River as it enters the intercoastal waterway at Swansboro. Bought in 09, I clear cut all the lob Lollie pines off our lot. Pissed the HOA but we have since had 2 tornados go over the house and of course Hurricane Florence...

You are correct, Sir!! Silicon controlled rectifier heard that from Dad few times. He say ohm it or check for proper voltage through that device. Old school usually is a lot more dependable but the newer generation of, I'll call them kids, don't want the big, bulky, antiquated equipment. That...

    How to repair Disc

I have never set the blades since I had it. It will get down in the dirt, bog down tractor if I don't lift hydraulics up. It has been repaired sometime in the past with a weld, figured it was set that way by previous owner to prevent that breakage again. By the way it lightens the front on the...

    How to repair Disc

Thanks, NCL for the links, that will be very helpful! Yea, I would never scrap it. The shaft is pretty worn so wonder if bearing will fit properly. Better than it is, I guess. It makes the front end on the Ford very light so scares me to try to lift with Kubota. I don't want to blow out...

Are these bearings or whatever goes there available? It has been a great implement but very heavy, thinking may...

    Dangers of an Oxygen Cylinder

Damn, ever since I been in the HVAC game we have always carried extra small tanks we use for brazing stored under tool boxes or in tank holders in vans in the horizontal position until we swapped them out in our totes. Guess I have been lucky last 42 years!! Now our big shop tanks were never...

That’s interesting and cool. I started in the HVAC industry in 1980, pretty much straight out of high school. Never really met or heard of other guys with my name until the last several years I seem to be meeting quite a few. Some of the older meters are very interesting.
