My L3010 was running fine. No problems. No unusual noises. Running perfect as always. I stopped mowing grass. Cut the engine off and got a drink of water. I got back on the tractor and it refuses to start! I checked battery and battery cables, fuses (including 40 amp fuse), and checked for loose connections. I would appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks
John

Pretty weak deal, that will frustrate a guy.
Not sure if this works with tractors, this is what I would do any any of my vehicles.
Might want to make sure with someone with tractor experience.

Do you hear the starter trying to engage?
Could be a loose wire on the starter or a bad ground. Check at battery and starter.
Turn head lights on, are they bright?

Pull plug and leave attached to plug wire. Ground the wire and have someone turn the tractor over checking for spark.
No spark=ignition problem.

Disconnect a fuel line and turn the engine over?
Is fuel spitting out?
No fuel=plugged filter or fuel pump is broken.

Again, these are things I've done on my vehicles. Make sure with someone else.
I'm intetersted knowing if this will work on tractors.

John, I assume you checked the battery to make sure it didn't die? Also, did you clean both battery terminals and the other ends? The similar thing happened to me. Turned out the neg. ground from the battery was badly corroded where the ground was bolted to the frame, even though it looked ok. I cleaned it and it started. Good Luck!
