    Glow plug lamp bypassed

First, I very much appreciate this forum and those who have helped me thus far. On my journey to restoring B7100D, I noticed my glow plug lamp is bypassed. It starts quickly (no winters in Florida) and the glow plugs are OEM and perhaps original. I have a secondary dash for parts with...

    2 wire dynamo

I managed to snag both wires on my two-wire dynamo (B7100d) at the dynamo. Both wires are light blue. I looked at the wiring diagram, but I cannot determine which wire from the harness goes to which wire coming out of the dynamo. I image it matters. Can anyone enlighten me?

    Crank seized B7100D

Thank you. I dug the old one out of my scrap pile…the new one is different. I now know why everyone here advises to buyOEM kubota parts. Lesson learned, after splitting the tractor 3x.

    Crank seized B7100D

I think the new TO bearing is not the correct one.

    Crank seized B7100D

Wolfman, Here’s the original TO and the way I first installed the new one. And a pic of perhaps the correct direction. Thank you.

    Crank seized B7100D

Sounds like if my finger settings are still good, it's the TO bearing. Splitting it again... fingers crossed! thank you!

    Crank seized B7100D

Wolfman, I resurrected this thread with an update and questions for you. Bare with me, this is kinda long because I want you to have all the info. After I finished installing the new clutch, with the motor at idle, the clutch will not disengage. Pedal adjustment was per the IT shop manual...

    It just shut down…

Same thing happened to me. Turns out a pressure plate finger broke and lodged between the flywheel and the housing. Stopped it dead immediately. Would not do anything.

    Non HST hydraulic fluid

there is no such thing as cheap fluid anymore 😁

    Non HST hydraulic fluid

Dan, Thanks for your input. I’ve probably filled and drained it 4 times (twice after purchasing and twice to split the tractor. The most recent one doesn’t show signs of water. Cross this off my list. Now if I could get the new clutch to disengage 😡. I’ll add the screens too. Scott

    Non HST hydraulic fluid

My tractor sat for years before I purchased it. The hydraulic fluid was milky white and had water in it. I drained it overnight, replaced it the next day. I had to do this a few times to flush the old fluid out. That was expensive! BTW, mine doesn’t have ANY screens, just a hydraulic filter...

    B7100D clutch problems

Woodman55, I took it apart and the p.p. matches the old one. And on a B7100D, I can say for certain the disc only fits one way. No marks on the disc hub. But I did notice the flywheel, new p.p. and disc were a bit dirty. I cleaned them up better this time. I also noticed the p.p. bolts...

    B7100 hydraulic problems on FEL

Bingo! My problem is I need to finish converting my 1954 pickup to a 2002 s10 frame and drivetrain. But doing tractor stuff with the loader is much funner!

    B7100 hydraulic problems on FEL

Great guidance thus far, Dan. I’m taking screenshots of your diagnostic steps. They will get laminated and placed in my Kubota notebook in the shop. That will keep my ipad clean and out of the shop!

    B7100 hydraulic problems on FEL

I believe mine sat for years. In Florida, that’s a no-no. I don’t think the previous owner did very much maintenance. The oil was extremely dark, the hyd fluid was white, and the motor leaked everywhere. The clutch went out on me after day two, which I replaced but clearly did something wrong...

    B7100D clutch problems

PoTreeBoy, I used that I&T manual to set finger heights. Certainly worth verify though. It’s almost like the TO bearing bearing barely makes contact with the fingers. I’m gonna take some TO bearing travel measurements vs finger position. I will report back. Thanks!

    B7100D clutch problems

Woodman55, Pedal travel seems the same as before, but perhaps with less resistance. I’ll verify the pplate correctness, pilot is good. I’ll turn the disc around too, I could not find a definitive answer about disc direction. It looks like the TO was contacting the fingers, but I need to check...
