L245DT Front Axle - chipped gears

I haven't been on here for awhile, but I'm back, with a request for help. I was using my L245DT a couple days ago and hear a mechanical "bang" sound. Stopped, couldn't figure out what it was. Kept on going. Every 6 feet or so another "bang". Was thinking this sounded expensive, probably...

    Tractor sizing

I would go for something closer to 35-40HP. Something at the larger end of the L scale. Are you looking for new/newer, or are you looking for pre-emisssions?

    model 1200 fel

Specific parts are not available from Kubota (or anywhere really) as the loader was not made by Kubota, but rather for Kubota. Your best bet is to bring in the cylinders to your local hydraulic shop and they can probably help you with some new seals. For a valve body, try West Kentucky...

    Using PTO in high range?

My L245DT has 3 PTO speeds, and I often use the 2nd range (720 PTO RPM) just at lower engine speeds. The engine doesn't lug down at all even under heavy use, and no hydraulic issues.

    Used vegetable oil

I get a few hundred gallons of it every once and a while and I use it for dust control. I've considered filtering it and using a thinner to run it in the tractor, but I don't want any issues.

Call before you dig! Every time you dig!

I had to put in a new drain and called the number here for the locate service. Everyone marked their lines, but the phone company couldn't be bothered and told me I was fine. I hit a thick underground cable and ripped it right off. It had something like 300 of those hair thin wires in it...

Are there part numbers for the weights? I could use some ballast for my 2WD.

    Back Blade drops

Check fluid levels. Check suction return hose for leaks. Is there an adjustment knob for the 3 point hitch ( in front/under the seat?

    Lift stops working.

Is it a squeak or a squeal? A squeal could mean the 3 pt hitch lever is all the way up?

    L175 steering and pto questions.

That could work. Just remove the electric clutch assembly from that front PTO shaft assembly and couple the shaft directly to the hydraulic pump you are adding. I actually have that setup off of my L245F that I am not using, if you are looking.

B7800 no FEL lift or 3pt lift this morning....Help!

Any changes or other service you have done recently? Any odd noises (ie: relief valve, pump, engine straining). Fluid levels still ok? Was everything normal with the old fluid when you changed it?

Purchase Tires/Wheels Thru Parts or Sales?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Kubota is no longer carrying rims/wheels for older units (anything over 15 years, it seems) but the tire dealer can't always get them either. For just tires, its cheaper from the tire shop. For a complete wheels/tires set, if they stock it, Kubota can be cheaper.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Used my forks to unload some building materials. Also handy to lift the fifth wheel hitch in and out of the truck box during camping season - I can't believe I used to just pick it up and throw it in there.

dealer still has the parts. Replaced all four on mine a year ago.

    B7200 ROPS

You should be able to find the ROPS kit number for your tractor on the Kubota USA safety program page. Your dealer has to order it as whole goods.

Obscure parts for a Kubota Model 1200 Loader

The loader was made in the US for Kubota, but not by Kubota - hence the trouble finding parts. You may have more luck finding one with decent decals and getting new ones made from high-res photos.

Source for wiring harnesses for an L225.

If you are savvy, make it up yourself - it's fairly simple.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

New wheels and tires are on the L245DT. Dished out the wheels to give me an extra couple inches on each side for extra stability too.
