    Meet the Scorpion...

Thanks for sharing. Great design! Unfortunately I am no longer able to do projects like that. So far I haven't been able to find anything designed for my L47. It sounds like the BX expanded models will be too light weight.

    B3200 Temperature Guage failure?

If you ground the sensor wire, the gauge should go full hot. If it doesn't you may have no power at the gauge or a bad gauge.

Lifting zero turn mower to remove blades?

I noticed that my neighbors Toro ZT has a pivoting trailer tongue jack (factory?) mounted to the frame. I don't know how high it lifts.

Surprise surprise... I need a tractor

I have a L47TLB. If used in the woods it really needs a skid plate to protect some electrical and hydraulics. I haven't gotten around to fabricating one yet. I don't know if the L45 has the same issue. I suggest you take a look underneath one. Maybe a L45 owner will chime in on this? fried1765 ?

Stuck between Kubota M62 and L47

When I bought my L47 I wanted a Tractor Loader with no intention of getting the backhoe attachment. Most of my use is loader work and I felt that the L47 was a better choice than the Ag tractor with a (material handling) loader attachment. The well braced loader of the L47 combined with the...

I need a good Flail mower. Thoughts???

I did and it worked ok. Not too much flying debris. I was cutting wild rose bushes/black berries/ pine branches. The down side. As previously mentioned I have trouble actually seeing what I'm doing. I can't turn my head very far. The cutter is pretty heavy and I think the offset load was a...

Stuck between Kubota M62 and L47

BTW you can buy a L47 or a M62 w/o the backhoe if you don't feel you need it. I bought mine as a tractor loader then added the backhoe the following year.

Stuck between Kubota M62 and L47

As I mentioned earlier I would go with two machines. A full size TLB and a utility tractor. If you want to stick with one machine I think a M62 would be your best bet. When I bought my L47 a M62 was about $10k more. I couldn't afford the additional expense. If not for that I'd own one myself...

Stuck between Kubota M62 and L47

Other than substituting box blade for angle blade our use is the same. That is the appeal of the L47. A TLB that can do AG chores much better than an AG tractor can do TLB chores. It's not perfect, but it allowed me to own just one tractor instead of two. After reading post #17 I'm thinking...

Stuck between Kubota M62 and L47

Is that an "official" answer from Kubota? It certainly sounds more reasonable than anything I have heard before.

Stuck between Kubota M62 and L47

Recently I needed to pull out some T posts and replace them with wood posts. Normally removing T posts by pulling them out with the loader is really easy. However this time I just had a post hole auger on the rear. (my tires are loaded). The rear wheels came off the ground and the T post didn't...

Stuck between Kubota M62 and L47

I have no experience with the 62. I do own a L47. One downside to the L47 I discovered is the need of a skid plate when in the woods. There is wiring and hydraulics that is vulnerable to stick attack that could ruin your day. The loader is pretty powerful (for a tractor this size) but when the...

I need a good Flail mower. Thoughts???

I did run it behind my L47. The only problem I had was I hooked a small stump and bent a stabilizer. The cutter was fully extended at the time. It was my fault. I can't turn my head much and didn't see the stump. I was able to fix the stabilizer and there was no damage to the flail. There is a...

I need a good Flail mower. Thoughts???

I bought this from tractor tools Direct. It's a rebadged Del Morino. It worked well but I was uncomfortable about the leverage on the 3ph because of the offset. I would be less concerned if it was on a cat 2 hitch. I intend to buy a unit without the hyd offset. Pay no attention to the date on...

    L47 TLB Skid Plate Options

Thank you for the pix. I need to get under there and see how much coverage I'll need. I can still crawl under the tractor it just takes me ten minutes to get back up. In my case dragging bottom on big rocks hasn't been an issue. Recently I noticed a dry stick about 3/4 in x 18 in long...

    L47 TLB Skid Plate Options

I know this is an old thread. I'm curious if anyone built the Scissors design plate? I keep putting it off but eventually I'm going to destroy something no matter how careful I am.

    5 Acres: LX2620 vs LX3520

Are there round bales in your future? If so you will need/want a heavier tractor.

    Telescoping lift arms

Looked at my original order sheet and all it says is R-4 telescoping 3 point. You could try calling Riddle Tractor in Winston-Salem NC 336-767-2001 I dealt with Mr. Riddle himself, Maybe he can help you. BTW I bought my tractor on 11/6/19.

    L-47 vs L4060

I'm sure if I bought a M62 initially I would be happy with it. It's just not worth me making a change at this time. If I were younger and in better health and really needed a bigger backhoe I'd sell the L47 and buy a used full size machine and a 40hp or so tractor to do my 3ph stuff with. Well...
