    Straps or Chains for trailering?

If so, there are many abrasion resistance add ons. Such as the ones below. I've also seen them as rubber rectangles that simply slide down the strap to the danger area. https://www.amazon.com/valonic-protector-neoprene-protective-sleeves/dp/B072LNK3PZ

    Running Hot

Back at it yesterday. I can mow for about 40 minutes before things clog up. I'll just have to go slow with frequent stops. This will go down as another lesson for a rookie land manager.

    Running Hot

I was brush hogging with my L3130 this afternoon. I'm mowing tall weeds which are tall but dried out. After about 2 hours I look down and see my machine temp is 3/4 of the way to the right. I was by the shop so I shut it down and inspected. The weeds are dirty and my radiator was smothered...

    Straps or Chains for trailering?

Thanks all. Looks like there is no consensus. Love the welded hooks.

    Straps or Chains for trailering?

I’m going to need to haul my tractor with FEL and Rotary mower. I have a double axel car hauler rated for the job. I need to purchase either a set of chains and binders or HD Straps. I see they are about 50/50 on the thread of pictures with loaded trailers. I like the idea of straps for...

    Mowing Options?

That a good point. I put 9 acres in last year and will put another 9 in this year. The mowing chores are in years 1-3 to beat back the weeds. After the desired base is established, it will be left alone or occasionally mowed to the plan.

    Mowing Options?

I am being paid to put it in. I have no choice on the seeding as it's carefully dictated to benefit pollinators. My mowing is to control the weeds while the desired plantings have a chance to take hold. Once established, I'll only need to mow it occasionally. Another twist is that I need...

    Mowing Options?

I have a L3130 ( 31 HP ). I also have a 5' Land Pride Rotary Mower currently on the rear. I'm seeding 18 acres of CSP Wildlife habitat which will require mowing several times per year the first few years and the occasionally there after. I will also have to regularly mow some field edges...

    Kubota Models?

This is really good information. Thank you for taking the time to write it up ( should be a sticky IMHO ). I'd like to look around for a larger machine. Just in the information gathering phase at this time. Currently, I wouldn't know what I want or a good deal if I saw one.

    Kubota Models?

Is there a good reference site for the models through years? I'm more interested in the modern era ( since the 90's ). Also, are there anything in the model numbers that give you a clue as to what your looking at? For example, I thought I heard that if the model ends with a " 0 " vs ending...

    Clogged Sprayer Tips

So, it appears that mixing a single salt glyphosate with 2,4 d will result in a salt sediment or clogged sprayer tips. I need the duel salt glyphosate if I'm going to mix them. Lesson learned.

    Clogged Sprayer Tips

I have a FIMCO 40 gallon sprayer. I've used it to apply a glyphosate cocktail ( Glyphosate, AMS & a surfactant ) successfully on a number of occasions. Yesterday, I added 2, 4 D to the cocktail and I had had some sludge buildup which clogged the sprayer tips horribly. I eventually got tank...

    Grapple. Wins and Losses

I'm biting on a post which is designed to stir up things but here I go....... I can't imagine brush management without a grapple. I suppose if you're not moving trees / branches around and just unloading stuff, you could get by with forks alone.

    Smoothing out a field trail?

The field actually is Class 2 soils which has been in pasture. Then, ignored for 20 years. Last year, I had a skid steer with a tree puller come in and clear it. This year I mowed it for the first time in decades it looks like the artillery practice range for the nearby Big Red 1. Now that...

    Smoothing out a field trail?

This may seem like an insignificant problem and in the big picture, it is. However, I regularly need to travel to the back side of my property and the pasture is rougher than I'd like ( brutally rough ). To my knowledge, there's never been a trail or road. All I want is a way to efficiently...
