    Precision Trailer Moving?

I have a 18’ tender car hauler. I want to be able to move it safely and with precision in my concrete floored shed. The goal would be to snug it up along a wall when not in use. Think I could do so with one of those dollys from Harbor Freight? Any other ideas? I can’t do it with my truck as...

I have a new project tractor

Nice, Horizontal exhaust, roll bar, power steering and those tires don't look all that bad from what I can see. Pretty sure they sell a gasket kit for the pump. Let me know if you need to get into the gauges. I went through that on my machine and I can save you some time.

I have a new project tractor

eBay for operator and workshop manuals. They should be reasonably priced. The workshop manual will have the wiring diagrams. I just did the same with a 3600. It not a late model Kubota for sure but has its charm. Should have ready access to parts. Post a pic Or two.

Anyone know Solar? Help me think this through

Good points, however, the idea of man handling deep cell batteries in and out of a boat on a regular basis is not very appealing to someone my age. I was looking at two 100 watt panels, a 30a mttp charge controller, a sealed Lead Acid battery and an inverter for around $800. I haven't done all...

Anyone know Solar? Help me think this through

So... I'd hook the boat batteries to the storage batteries by using a 12VDC charger / maintainer. Have an inverter also hooked to the storage batteries and use it as needed?

Anyone know Solar? Help me think this through

I have a 40 X 60 Pole Barn without electricity. I use it to store trailers, seldom used equipment, etc. Running power and setting up a panel would be costly. I don't even have electrical on the property so it would require starting from scratch. I'm thinking I'd like to store a boat with a...

    Varmint Eradication / Deterrence

Thanks for the suggestions. While I did relocate the last offender, no form of management is off the table. Relocation was the easiest at the time and seemed like the thing to do.

    Varmint Eradication / Deterrence

I have a Pole Barn with a concrete floor. The building has been there since 92. When I bought the place 2.5 years ago, I noticed there was an outside corner where varmints had dug a hole under the concrete and I assume they have set up a nice hang out under my floor. Over the past few years I...

    Solar Battery Maintainer Install

18 months in and 3 of the 4 continue to work as new. I haven't spent the time to troubleshoot the issue but I feel pretty good about being able to figure it out.

    Using a camera on tractor

Back to a simple solution. Could you not rig a mirror or two with magnets or some bracket up on the vertical arms above your shear? Even a larger mirror bridging across if needed? Just thinking like the cheapskate I am.

    Refueling Simplification

Hi Folks, I know we have a number of threads on this topic and many have sophisticated refueling systems ( someday perhaps ) but many still fill a 5/6 gallon container and pour it in. As I age, the process of hoisting the full can up for a funnel pour has become less attractive. I bought...

    Sharpen Rotary Mower Blades?

Thanks All, I actually use my mower for everything around my 31 acre farm. I mostly mow grass and weeds but it's not unusual to grind up some brush which seems to be constantly intruding.

    Sharpen Rotary Mower Blades?

I have a 5' Land Pride. My local dealer claims the blades never need to be sharpened ( at least that's one persons opinion ). Do you all sharpen your Rotary Mower glades and if, how do you do it?

    Looking at a M4050 - Thoughts

Thanks for the comprehensive replies!. I spoke to the seller today. Claims it needs a shot of either to get going. That's a little unnerving. it's a 2WD with no loader.

    Looking at a M4050 - Thoughts

As stated above, I see a 1984 M4050 is available. It as 5002 hrs showing. I'm sure I'll have no reliable service history as it's a used tractor dealer. Seems like a lot of hours but I just want it as a designated mower. I haven't personally inspected it yet but pictures look ok. Any top...

    Running Hot

Thanks to all who replied. I have some good strategies to deal with things. Do not shut off hot engine? This seems counterintuitive? Just let it idle hot for 5 minutes?
