    COVID-19 Stuff

Yes, we're to be wearing mask in public places, but I had a neighbor visiting and he was in Walmart and some folks did not have mask. I thought Walmart corp. decided all stores would require mask... But I pretty much stay out of any group, including family birthday parties!

    COVID-19 Stuff

The guidelines being modified frequently, I think, causes a lot of the frustration on what to do and when. Watched a buyer in the sale barn pull down his mask every few minutes to spit his skoal on the floor. Saw people doing it last week as well. He was one of ten wearing a mask out of 50-60...

    How mad should I be?

The statement marked in red seems to be a bit braggadocios, and overstatement of the truth. The shop may charge the customer $80, but that amount does not all go to the tech. Now, truth be known, the salesman would probably go to work in the shop if he was paid $80 and hour!!

How often do you change the gearbox oil in your bush hog

I change mower gearbox oil every time it gets contaminated, otherwise I just keep it to the proper level. With the only opening being the fill plug I never have ever gotten anything contaminated in them.

I guess I should have put the word LEFT in large case letters. Just a weird sense of humor, I guess.

    First Time Greasing Tractor

Greasing the pivot is important, but removing the plug is just as important, if not more so. If too much grease is pumped in without the plug removed one time you can cause the seal to fail. You fail to grease the fitting several times you only cause some wear on the shaft.

    How mad should I be?

Your frustration is overloading your logic. Probably ought to learn a little about your tractor before you go in angry and accusatory. Calling the assembly person drunk will get a good laugh on your part. Have that service guy fix the steering wheel as you think it should be, and next time...

Hey Skeets, with the price of gold moving up you better get your gear out and start panning. :)

    Mice

Yes, I'm afraid I'd have to come up with a plan B. Start taking it apart, make sure wiring if working as it should, find components needing replaced at dealer or as mentioned an upholstery shop and put it back together. I believe some folks charge a high price (higher then needs to be) because...

    COVID-19 Stuff

Was buying a bag of dog food at the pet supply store. You had to be wearing a mask to get in the door. Got the bag of dog food and at the checkout there is this big plexiglass with a little covey hole to place your bag. There is a line of carts in front of the counter so you can't get close...

    First Time Greasing Tractor

You're welcome. It's pretty simple once you understand where and why. Just remove the plug and pump some grease (in the grease fitting on the opposite side) and reinstall the plug. I'm just waiting around this morning of the guy to open so I can get a battery for my old 730 Case!!

    First Time Greasing Tractor

I think it is on the right when setting in the seat and the plug is on the left. However, just get a wrench and a grease gun and get down there and look! :) :) :)

    B6000DT "Project"

Quite the project! Got it mechanically clean and the body prettied up. Nothing more rewarding then taking something others give up on and make something useful out of it. It proves your problem solving ability!!

    First Time Greasing Tractor

If you are setting in the seat of the tractor, right is right, left is left. Therefore if you are standing in front of the tractor it would be the opposite. The front axle support has a grease fitting. On the opposite side of the support is a plug (I think with a square head). Remove the...
