    Portable gas cans

I had to get a couple new cans recently. Couldn't make them work, so I tore the guts out of the spout.

    New Chevy Truck

Bluegill - I'm truly envious! Northeast winters are tough, and create maintenance headaches. NYS DOT has a "bare road" policy, which means lots of salt. We know what it does to sheet metal, but gets brakelines, ABS sensors, etc. I'm always replacing wheel bearings on an Uplander van -...

    New Chevy Truck

Skeets - Just got the flyer for the 2yr/24,000 mile services included with my new '13 Silverado. Schedule for oil/filter is 7,500 miles - check/change IF needed! WHAT?? Last couple years GM specs dexos certified oil. I think it amounts to partial synthetic. Only experience with synthetic...

How long to attach/take off loader?

Give Skeets a CEE-GAR! Not a tough question, but I told someone that last week and he looked at me like I had 2 heads. I was about 12 or so. Don't think I broke it, but a stone in the crick behind the barn spun the wheel. Hurt real bad for couple weeks. Never said anything to my dad or...

How long to attach/take off loader?

Got my BX2360 this spring. Been mowing all summer, without the loader. Had the loader on/off 4 or 5 times since I had it. Put it on tonight in 8 minutes from the time I pulled up to it. Hoses, stand folded, etc. all done. Don't think I've farted around putting it on more than 15 minutes, and...

    MMM Greasing and Maintenance

Guys - I feel like an idiot asking, but....I CANNOT get one damn fitting on this BX2360 or its attachments to take grease...easily. I've been greasing stuff for 40+ years - farm equipment, etc., but the farm was years ago. Been at the usual homeowner stuff since. I use a 30 year old gun...

    Hydraulic fluid

Yeah - even me being the new guy been down this road. Without a doubt, Kubota SUDT2 and Kubota filters, both hydro and engine oil filters. On the other hand, I've been using Rotella 15W40 engine oil. May switch to synthetic in the future - not sure yet.

    New Chevy Truck

Yeah, Skeets, a garage queen she be this year. I was glad I could swing the BX2360 this spring without having to sell her, cuz, as you know, the used HD market has been tough lately. She BARKS REAL LOUD when she's movin' though! Here's the new truck I couldn't pass up. Had no issues with...

    Farm Chains

Wow - that brings forth questions. How heavy is the box blade, and is it something your tractor can pick safely? Do you have a way to chain it up without causing damage or injury to the box blade, the tractor, or you? I use 5/16" chain for most stuff not too heavy duty, and have that size...

    New Chevy Truck

Skeets - as you say DAYUM. I pulled the trigger today on a '13 truck. This one is extended cab versus the crew I have in the picture. Otherwise, same truck. Had 2 ext cabs before this one. Kids are older now - seldom use back seat, except for the dog and occasional buddy of my youngest...

    New Chevy Truck

Any Chevy guys snapping the deals on 2013's? I didn't plan to trade, and am not a big fan of "new" models, which my '07 was, but couldn't pass that deal up back then. I just had a call from my local Chevy dealer, and be damned if I can pass up a trade of this truck to a '13 extended cab Z-71...

    What is this wheel doing?

I would peel/sand/grind back some of the paint near those cracks, and I think you will have your answer. That's a spooky looking wheel in my book, and the possibilities are not pretty. Is a L35 a TLB? Using the 'hoe to reposition the tractor can put lateral force on the wheel if not picked off...

    L3800HST First service

Stupid (really a lazy) question, I should just look in the manual...axle changes due when, and the fluid is..? Ironic, I was just looking at axle drain plug this morning, while I was having a hell of a time greasing MMM. Felt like a rookie, and I started greasing farm equipment at 5 years...

    L3800HST First service

As I posted earlier, just did engine oil on BX2360 at 22 hours. HST will get all dumped at 50 or less. I will use Rotella 15-40 for now, and may switch to synthetic for the engine in the future. Don't want to switch to synthetic too quick. Will stick with SUT2 for the HST, and all Kubota...

    First Service

Did first engine oil/filter at 22 hours. My first diesel, but having a Harley, I know the oil looks worse, and takes a beating, on those engines (Harley oil should be diesel approved). I like to get that break-in oil out sooner than later. Went with Shell Rotella 15-40, but Kubota filter...

    BX Expanded Stuff

Skeets, thanks for asking. MotoAir, thanks for clarifying. First thing I thought from the photo was "that's a beemer." Buddy was at Americade in Lake George, NY recently. Test drove a BMW, among others. Best bike he'd ever rode, and he's been on many bikes for decades. I only have a H-D...

    BX Expanded Stuff

Got the hooks today and put them on easily. Seem pretty decent - I'm liking them! Haven't used them yet - that'll be the real test. MotoAir - have you used your Tooth Bar yet? What uses do you have planned for it? (It looks really cool, that's almost good enough for me). I looked at it for...

    Cost of 1 11MM Nut

Ha good one!! H-D stands for Hundred Dollars. I'm with you Skeets, I know this from experience!

Need Advise on 50 Hour Service

I rarely let a fresh engine go long before first oil/filter changes. You need some hours on it for break-in, so you don't want to change it too early. I have 20 hours on my BX2360 now. I'll probably do first engine oil/filter at 25, and hydraulic fluid/filter/screen at 50 hours. If...

    BX Expanded Stuff

Slim and Moto - I really appreciate the feedback and the pictures. When I did the first post, I thought it would look "fishy," as in baiting for feedback, good or bad. But in all honesty was just looking to (hopefully) get some recommendations, since I had JUST bought 2 grabs and 1 slip a...
