    Tire Chains on BX

After they were pulled tight, they may not hit the deck. Not sure though, since the deck came off. I did mow once with it on, and it was OK. You are moving much faster mowing than pushing snow. Slow down, and it may be all good. In these parts, the MMM could act like a skid plate, and...

    Tire Chains on BX

Very close - one had some slack that slapped the deck a little. Had to cinch it up a bit. MMM is off now - came off shortly after chains went on. Snowblower goes on soon. Got them at a locally-owned hardware store in my small hometown. They ordered them in for $130. (I don't buy stuff...

Auxiliary Power for Work Lights - BX

When I get closer to done I'll post some pics. Right now just lack the lights themselves and tidy it all up. Local hardware store is getting in some plain ol' round sealed beam tractor lights (like the one in the earlier picture) and some rectangle 55w halogens. I made the bracket long...

Auxiliary Power for Work Lights - BX

The ROPS on a BX2360 is narrower and shorter than the BX25D or BX2370. If I put them inside the ROPS, even at the top, then I'm going to take them out with my head or shoulders. I'm a large guy. On top of the ROPS is out - other stuff will get it there. With them on the outside right...

Auxiliary Power for Work Lights - BX

Do they go with the light switch? Dry fit so far...The light pointing to the back will be added later right behind the other. You might see the hole to mount it. Not sure yet if it will be round or rectangle light.

Auxiliary Power for Work Lights - BX

Guys - Been looking at your great ideas for work lights. Does the auxiliary wiring to the left of the PTO switch with the lights? I found them, and the wiring diagram looks like they come off the tail lights. I'm not smart enough to post the electric diagram!

    50 Hour Service (at 38)

Mower deck is off, so we head toward winter mode. Got it done yesterday. Dumped the trans, front axle, motor oil (also done at 22 hours). SUDT2, Rotella 15-40, Kubota filters. Bolts, air filter, etc. checked. Chains are on, and did last mowing with them on. My BX2360 was "new" in April...

    Tire Chains on BX

Made sure it was tight on the inside of the wheel. After "working the chains in" inside looks good. So far, so good.

    Tire Chains on BX

I planned on the 2 link chains. Skeets - my old Deere had a 4 foot front snowblower, and 2WD. My driveway is stone, so I have to run the snowblower up high, especially early in the season. (I'm hoping the kubota shoes work as well as the green ones did) After a while it gets a good packed...

    I should have mentioned - R4's on it - 26-12-12

    Tire Chains on BX

Guys- I'm sure covered here before, but I intend to run rear tire chains on BX2360 this winter, running front mount snowblower. I don't have wheel spacers. Looks a little tight around the tire. I've run chains on my "green" one before OK, but might have had a little more room. I didn't get...

    Rimguard Install

Sure as hell would not work in upstate NY. I'm jealous. While the tractor is stored inside, I've had to move snow at -5F, compliments of what's called "lake effect." It proves its never too cold to snow!

Boom Pole for 3PH - Are They Worth It

Ben - Thanks for asking. I have no clue as to an answer, but wondered the same myself. I have a BX2360 with FEL. I'll be interested in the responses.

How long to attach/take off loader?

The old Moline is a narrow front end, with a hand clutch. When they hit something just right, the steering wheel can just about sing! When that wheel starts a-going, its good to have quick reflexes to grab the clutch, and not have your hand(s) tangled up in the steering wheel spokes!!! Skeets...

    Prognosis - MMM Spindle

Thanks, guys. Cleaning a deck off is something I've done for 40 years. As a kid, I caught hell if I didn't. I do normally grease after washing, but I certainly see your point. I've never given it a second thought. I don't have a press, but looks like I'd ought get one. Deck will be...

    Prognosis - MMM Spindle

Guys - need a prognosis. I've bitched and moaned here about greasing the MMM on my new tractor...wait for it...wait...you probably know where we're going..... Saw black dust near left MMM spindle today. Not much - I hose tractor off after each use. Obviously that one has taken no grease -...

    BX Box Scraper

I have a BX2360, same size as yours, and am looking for a 4 footer. Don't think I'd go over that. Some are heavier than others. So I think even a real heavy 4 footer would be fine, but plenty for your tractor. Should be qualified, since I don't have one. Others may know better.

    Hay Elevator Suggestions

Great barn! I'm jealous! Not for horses, but I've got a lot of other treasures that could fill that up! Skeets offers all good choices, but remember you may want a carrier/wheel assembly to go with it, so I it will be easily moveable away from the barn. While I completely understand your...

    Portable gas cans

I just couldn't get them to pour.....of course didn't read the directions either, but you shouldn't need to read instructions for a friggin gas can! One of my kids left a car in the driveway on fumes last winter, then was gone back to college. When Dear Ole Dad was snowblowing at 5AM few days...
