Replaced solenoid and still won't start

Marianne - - as Bruce asked, does it turn over (crank) now, but won't start, or does it not turn over? Very important aspect of troubleshooting the problem.

    What's cookin' boys?

Funny; I was kinda reluctant/embarrassed to admit that, but had to do full disclosure..... :geek: What I actually use is a prepared cayenne pepper sauce, just not sure how to reproduce it...... Honestly it’s a minor add to my recipe.....where there’s a will there’s a way.....(y)

    Propane Grill Recommendations?

There's a few guys here with griddles. I think Fordtech has one. I used to run 9 lineal feet of griddle myself as a kid working in one restaurant doing short-order work (full service diner - not a fast food place). I've looked at the griddles in the stores many, many times....I know I...

    Propane Grill Recommendations?

Yep - - needs to be propane. I use the grill 12 months. We get dark at 4:30pm in January and I get home at 5:30. It can be 0 F degrees. While I don't grill a lot then, I need convenience. You're right that I'm thinking of a smoker, but that's a separate deal.

Dang.....show off!! But you do have reduced fat Wheat Thins to go with them. Enjoy!

    Propane Grill Recommendations?

Mr. K - - I have looked at Napoleon over the years, along with several others of that supposed quality. They are pretty proud of their product. As long as it delivers, that's fine. While I have you, thank you so much for OTT. I greatly appreciate it, as well as you, Vic, Wolfman and Coach.

    Propane Grill Recommendations?

Not in a rush, but sometimes fall begets sales/discounts. I'm rough on a grill. I work them hard and hot. Use quite a lot of marinates with oil. Fires, etc. ensue. I went through a good, but cheapie grill every 3 years, with new burners at 18 months. A few I had the base castings...

    Bx1880 rollover

On the good side, everyone says KTAC insurance is great, and easy to work with. They call it insurance for a reason. Again, remember no one hurt.... Ouch on the slopes.... I navigate some similar to that. Tough enough while under power, but not in a running condition.... Don't get hurt...

    What's cookin' boys?

Big - - Bet it was quite a feast! Years ago, we had some organizations that had "game dinners." I was only part of a couple of them and it was so cool...stuff I'd never get to eat otherwise. Our trying times have isolated so many, to their/our detriment. It's both individual and societal...

    What's cookin' boys?

Ford - - - for you (and everyone else on the interwebs) I would... I know Buffalo wings are nation/world-wide now. There's pre-made buffalo sauce everywhere. I got tired of restaurants just using a buffalo sauce and butter for wings. Less butter = hotter, more butter = mild...

    Bx1880 rollover

Slopes don't show well in photos, but that still looks steep in some spots! Given the starter engages but won't turn it over, I'm concerned with hydro-lock as others mentioned. Only outcome for that is bent rod without getting oil from the cylinder(s) first. If it were a safety switch...

Delco Remy Starter Restoration - - 1953 Minneapolis Moline, and many others.....

It's ready to go, but haven't had time to put it back together. Need to polish motor shaft a little more with 800-grit paper. Couple small "ripples." I'm still undecided about re-using the old Bendix, or just putting the new one on. The old one had a loose mounting bolt.... The old one is...

    Walking, Trail Shoes

With those boots, the sole wasn’t the issue.... friggin’ thorns would go right through sides of the shoe. Those trees had 3” thorns everywhere....nasty trees and I liked to see them burn. 🔥

    Loader gurus- need your help...

Believe me, I hope you can find one. However, that ain't gonna happen as much as I wish it could for you. A new loader for a little BX is probably $4k, complete with mounting hardware. As you are finding, getting the loader, mounts, etc. is tough. The problem with the retrofit is the...

    Walking, Trail Shoes

I wore steel-toed Carolina Logger work boots for years, both work and home. They were pretty well made. Helped a buddy cut/slash/burn 5 acres one winter for home site 30 years ago. A lot was thornapple, and it was all done by chainsaw, and hauled to burn piles by hand. My wife got good at...

3 Point Hitch not staying up

I doubt it, unless you went 60 mph over plowed field....  They're made to lift weight, period. Probably shot when you bought it.

3 Point Hitch not staying up

Don't just blindly replace the seals if the cylinder/bore is in bad shape. Only thing worse than doing something once, is doing it twice.... Think the same as if replacing pistons and rings on an engine. If necessary, the bore might need a hone. Check WSM for that. Otherwise, if...

BX18 + Rear Blade vs. ATV Snow Clearing

I'm in upstate New York. I have a front-mount blower. That isn't on your radar, so I'll skip that. We're not in a place like Tughill Tom that gets snow in feet often, but we can get 1-foot + couple/few times per season. Most is 3 feet in ~12 hours. Still, less than 3" is a dusting for us...

3 Point Hitch not staying up

Do you have the workshop manual (WSM)? if not I think kubotabooks.com has it. I can’t swear to it but I think the WSM covers it.
