    The Dark Side of Technology...

I don't do fb, but the text feature and pictures are almost a necessity in my sawmilling business. Heck, I can even make phone calls with it!!

    COVID-19 Stuff

Re: Is the sky falling? We saw a lady with 10-12 gallon jugs on milk in her cart. I didn't count but it was filled to the top! I didn't ask but surely she was taking it to a nursing home or hospital because there is no way it could be kept/used without souring. I have certainly never seen...

    What no party?

I have been here only a short while and several of those 20k posts have been directed toward helping me with a few problems. I say Thank You. ;)

    Daily Chuckle

Kinda like the reloading primer and .22 cartridge "shortages" that we had a few years ago. Idiots caused the shortage because they were hoarding, and the manufacturers "jacked up" prices never returned to normal. They found out what we were willing to pay and kept the price there.

Long Range Shooting (Over 200yards) In Kutztown PA Area?

I feel your pain because ~250 yards is the maximum shooting distance on my property. Kinda hard to practice for Colorado/Wyoming shots which can easily be well over 300 yards.

Is this a sly way of trying to get us to send you some TP?? :D

I saw a lady yesterday with the bottom half of her shopping cart full of bottled water and then topped off with TP. I have no idea whether she was happy or desperate??

    COVID-19 Stuff

Re: Is the sky falling? All of our state's colleges will take another week of "Spring Break" and then resume classes on the 23rd via online. Some folks have enough TP, bottled water, and sanitizers for the rest of the year and beyond.

Re: Is the sky falling? LINK to Global Map It takes a bit of time for all of the information to configure. Click on each state's red dot to see the status of that state. Scroll the left and right margins to access each country and state.

    Sawmilling

BigG, thanks for the "take care" advice. Yes, I am recuperating from Rotator Cuff surgery and can not lift anything. I can operate the sawmill's controls which I did, (with the Dr.'s permission) but I can not do any log/lumber handling. In this situation, my helper/tailgunner has helped me...

Yes, there are several ways to find a sawyer: https://woodmizer.com/us/Find-a-Local-Sawyer If you looked you would find my services. Most of my customers find me by Googling for a portable sawmill. If you specified "Mississippi", I would be at the top of the listings. ;)

    Sawmilling

Pictures of my sawmill taken yesterday while I was sawing. The control box in front of the seat controls the up/down, sawing speed, board thickness, auto-clutch, etc. The controls on the lower right, handles all of the hydraulic functions such as log loading, turning, clamping, & toe boards.
