Has Amazon ever sent you something you didn't order?

Brushing scams occur when a person receives a package from a business containing various items that they never ordered. The packages will be addressed to your residence, but usually do not have a return address or have the return address of a retailer. The scammer typically orders the...

Has Amazon ever sent you something you didn't order?

I received an item that way a few years ago also. Following is from Amazon help. When a customer receives a package they didn't order, it may be a scam called "brushing". "Brushing" scams occur when bad actors send packages to publicly available names and addresses. If...

My Dentist of 30 years sent me a letter.........

Is he opening a new practice in Montana or just retiring? They can make a good enough living to enjoy retiring early and start a new adventure. My last dentist retired early during the Covid restrictions. She is younger than I am and thought she would be around a few more years than she did...

    Rear blade choose and weight

If you purchase a lighter back blade, adding some removable weight onto it could possibly make it work for the ballast you want and also dig in better when needed. We add weight on our box blade for road work every year to dig up pot holes, otherwise the scarifiers just bounce along on top of...

    Newbie

We replaced an 8N with a L2501 two years ago. It was used but only had 69 hours on it and looked like new - even the bucket paint only had minor scratches on it. SQA, HST, rim guard in tires and included a new set of 42 inch forks for $18,500 out the door. It does everything we need it for...

No snow blower usage yet, happy new year

Had maybe 1/2 inch of light snow today. Only plowed once in November and that was probably less than 5 inches total. On average, we normally have over 100 inches total per season here in the lake effect area near Erie PA. We have been extremely lucky up to this point. That could change within...

What ROPS toolbox are you using?

GeoHorn, This is same as I have been considering to mount on our L2501 to haul chain saw, gas & oil, chain, etc. Any down side or problems you have found with your setup so far?

Pros and cons of snow removal options

Is anyone using an automotive aftermarket back-up camera for rear mounted equipment? It may be easier than mirrors and could add better vision at night.

No snow blower usage yet, happy new year

I have not put the plow on my truck yet this season. Only plowable snow so far was 4 to 5 inches near the end of November. Our son put his plow on that morning and took care of our 1/2 mile private road and 3 driveways before going to work and cleaned thing up again after work. Very little snow...

    White Christmas

-36F is really cold. Lowest I remember here was -18F in 1994 and 2015. My truck and the wife's car are garaged and did start, but it was a struggle both times. We average 100+ inches of snowfall per season, but have had up to 165, so this has been an easy winter at this point. Only had to plow...

    White Christmas

We did not have a white Christmas here this year. 60 degrees, sunny and slight breeze. It felt like a nice spring day. In 2017 it started snowing on Christmas Eve and continued for a total of 49 inches of accumulation by December 27th. Erie Co. PA Snowfall December 24-27, 2017 Did someone...

Weird Stalling on Brand New L3902…

Do you have the parking brake on?

    Squirrel, I think! Grrrr….

If the vehicle is parked indoors and will not be driven for more than a few days at a time, try leaving the hood open. Critters like having a dark secure place when they work on the wiring for you. No problem with chewed wires on the tractor or antique car since we started doing that years ago.

    R.I.P The beloved Garden Tractor

The John Deere site lists the x700 as: "X700 Signature Series Lawn Tractors" They appear to be a "cut" above the MTD made big box junk, but I doubt that they would last more than 10 years before the stamped mower deck rusts away and some replacement parts are NLA. (Planned obsolescence so you...

    R.I.P The beloved Garden Tractor

We are lucky to have two Case garden tractors 1978 446, 1984 448, a Kubota L2501, plus brother / sister grandchildren that live on the adjacent property to us. The 446 was purchased new in 1978 and has mowed approximately 2 acres of hilly rock infested "lawn" area every year since. Don't think a...

What to make out of the corrosion showing at around valve stem?

Bought an 8N with Bush Hog brand rotary cutter, Woods brand back blade, 2 bottom plow, and had a Sherman hi/low, from our neighbor 13 years ago for $2000. It was used mainly to maintain our shared 1/2 mile private gravel drive for well over 30 years. We sold just the bare tractor 2 years ago for...
