    Cab progress

I'M SO GLAD YOU ASKED! So, I was thinking about car key fobs. Buttons that toggle a relay over a wireless signal. I started googling and searching for wireless relay. Came up with a bunch of stuff. There's a few ways that relays opperate. Push and release, push on push off, and push on then...

    Cab progress

I picked up 2 4' sections of hte sliding track assembly in plastic. Looked for metal, but the only ones I found were 5x the price. I'll give it a shot and see what I can find. 4'x8' 1/8" aluminum sheet is $157, picking up tomorrow. Have to make doors/hinges yet. Bought the components to wire...

    B8200 glow plug amps

Anyone know how many amps the glow plugs draw on the b8200. I'm guessing it's similar to most. I wanted to put a relay in for my starter/glowplugs and toss the key, but I need a sufficient relay that won't burn out.

    3pt finish mower

I'm looking at 6' mowers, but they're craigslist, and have a hard time figuring out if htey're cat 1 or cat 2. I thought my b8200 would be cat 2 since it's much larger than my father's b7200, sadly I don't think it's the case. Still paying $2000 for a new one is a tough pill to swallow, when...

    3pt finish mower

I'm looking for a 3pt finish mower, since finding a belly mower for my B8200 will be next to impossible. It made me think though, can I even use a 3pt finish mower? I hooked up the rear blade from my '51 ferguson TO30, and when I lifted it, it came a half inch off the ground, it was just to big...

    Cab progress

Just sent out a RFP for 48"x96" aluminum diamond plate and mill plate. Hopefully the price doesn't hurt to much. Will use it for the roof and side panels where plexiglass isn't going in. trying to figure out a method to put a sliding plastic window in. Was considering using tinted glass but I...

Fabricating power shoot control for a BX5450 snowblower

I see your point. It's only $30, and would make it move even iced up. My concern is more along the lines of braking the chute than braking the actuator. An actuator is cheap/easy to replace, the chute not so much.

Fabricating power shoot control for a BX5450 snowblower

I can't get over the linear actuator. There has to be a simpler and more suitable applicstaion. I get it, it's what it does, but there should be no need to use strength required to life my mother in law to change the angle of a little piece of plastic. I get they're not crazy expensive, I've...

    A new style turf tire

I've seen various new kinds, and I don't think they're worth it. My '51 Ferguson and '53 Oliver have the original rubber, and it's still holding out well. I don't think those would last half that long, especially if they're sitting stationary for any period of time.

    Cab progress

I bought a new to me b8200 tractor, hst, 4wd, etc. I took my fathers snowblower from his b7200 and made it fit. I needed a cab though, to protect myself from the elements. Today, I tackled a different issue. With the cab on, I couldn't open the hood. So I had to move the cab back an...

    Red fluid?

I'd look at your transmission, see if the underside is wet.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Knocked out another piece of the cab. The door frame on the right side plus lower support. Tonight I'll do the other side, finish lower supports, work on rear walls and windows. I need some 6' sections of angle iron I just realized, which won't fit in my jaguar that I brought to work, so that...

Clearing snow. Kubota, quad with plow, or snow blower. Go

I need more garage space. But it's my space and I know where everything is. No one goes in there but me and i have a half dozen projects going at any given time. My daughter has offered to clean it on more than one occasion for me. I told her she wasn't allowed to touch a thing in that garage...

    Snow Blower depth stops

Good idea. My neighbor has always asked me to blow his driveway, but ti's gravel so i keep telling him I can't. Not that I'll do this so i can do his driveway, but it's i've often wondered how one could do it.

Clearing snow. Kubota, quad with plow, or snow blower. Go

My '71 new holland is pretty much unstopable with it's 46" single stage, and can tackle up to 18" without issue, wet, dry, does not matter. Might have to make more than one pass, but it does the job and has never lost traction, never broken down, and never given me an issue beyond a dead...

What did you do to your Implement today

That looks great! How much sanding do you do before you paint? I have a few things I need to repaint, I was just going to hit it with the pressure washer to get the paint flakes off, but thought it might not be bad to sand some areas as well.

    Snowblower subframe attachment

Yeah, that looks like a different mounting setup entirely. Still, yours has lower supports that connect to the midpoint of the tractor, but being front mount single plate it'd have to to withstand the force on anything you hit. A flat plate like that wouldn't be very durable without hte lower...

    Snowblower subframe attachment

The only pictures of yours I saw were to small to get a real look at how the mounting system works. Some people changed it to use hydraulics, but I'm using the existing system for now, it's cold, not enough time to get it converted before the snow hits. This is my setup:

    Snowblower subframe attachment

The subframe on my b2650 snowblower has 3 sets of attachments. I got the front two on but having problems with the rear set. Trying to determine how important they are. Front set is 8 hardened bolts, second is two each side. If I can skip the 3rd it'd be easier but if people think I'll run into...
