Strange coupling for B6000E pictures included

I explored the shed, garage and out houses and all I could find that might be associated with the hitch are enclosed in the attached photos. I only included this further message just to bring it all to a close as this is obviously a Massey Freguson part not Kuboat. The arrangement of the MF135...

Strange coupling for B6000E pictures included

Hi Guys, you all never cease to amaze me and brilliant Ken for your knowledgee, effort and memory. I will be having a chat with my brother about leading me up the wrong garden path. Thank you all so much. I will delve into the shed to see if I can find any others parts that go with the hitch and...

Thanks Ken, the 135 has chains attached to the lower arms to stop them hitting the tyres so I don't think it was off that, especially as the chains are really rusty. Thank you for your input much appreciated and getting me closer all the time. I'm sure betwen us we can work it out. Bernie

Strange coupling for B6000E pictures included

The implements that were used prior to the purchase of the estate were the belly mower, already attached, the tipping trailer, Lawn roller, lawn sweeper and the lawn aerator, which I can pick up on my own by hand so no need for hydraulics on any of the equipment. My brother bought the Massey...

Strange coupling for B6000E pictures included

Ken, thank you for your efforts. As it happens there is a Massey Ferguson 135 on the estate, though my brother stated the bar came off the Kubota. That said he does tend to mix and match to get things working and could have changed things. Even if it was off the 135, what is it for? Thanks Bernie

Hi GrizBota thank you for your imput, I had to read that really slow as you use terms I am not familiar with. What is a tongue on the three point linkage? This machine and attachments are from an equine estate in the UK, so no lugging logs out of forests just mowing grass/weeds and picking up...

    B6000 engine number

Hi Wolfman. As the novice that I am I had to go with what parts suppliers on the internet was telling me. They said there were two sizes of crackshaft oil seal and it was either, lets say 35 or 38mm. So I measured the crankshaft and then I measured the crankshaft collar and found it to be say...

    B6000 engine number

Hi, I would just like to thank you all and update you. I took your advise and contacted Kubota UK who informed me they have no record of my machine so it was a grey import but they identified where I could find the engine number. It was in a place that I hadn't found anywhere in the...

Strange coupling for B6000E pictures included

So Guys, what exactly does a telescoping 3pt hold down do and why would I use it on my B6000 other than hold the lower arms apart and why would I need to hold them down? Sorry for my farming / machinery ignorance. It now has a bar across the lower arms with holes in that we use to put tow...

When I look at it again maybe it hasn't sheared and that is the way it is designed.

Strange coupling for B6000E pictures included

I will try lots of variations when I fit it to the Kubota tomorrow and send you all the photos. It looks like the inner tube may have been longer as it has sheared off where the second hole is, as can be seen in photos.

Strange coupling for B6000E pictures included

Great observation but sadly no, the pulley is for the lift chain for the Woods 304K belly mower to hold it up in the travel position, which I hadn't fitted when I took the photo of the pto reverser, as the attached photo shows. Thanks Bernie

Hi Wolfman, thank you for your responce. I will have to check if the greys match, hadn't thought of that one. I will be over there again on Wednesday so will look and feed back, that said I haven't cleaned the coupling so difficult to tell from the pictures. What do you make of that top split...

Strange coupling for B6000E pictures included

Hi, I should say that this whole thing is very heavy, it is solid metal not hollow tube and has a look that it is not home built as the top section, that is the part with the U shaped coupling and short connector bar is painted grey. That top section seem to be designed to attach to something...

Strange coupling for B6000E pictures included

It seems a bit excessive for that especially as there is a place to attach a rope or chain on my B6000, picture attached, it is just below the PTO reverser that I have just fitted. The bar at the top, what I assume is for the top hitch, has a swivel in it but with the top hitch wouldn't be able...
