Hi Guys, I need to replace the cranckshaft front oil seal on my B6000. I have looked for the engine number in all the recomended places and cannot find anything. What I have found is a stamped plate on the injector pump, which covers up the place where I was expecting the engine number to be. Might it be the engine number? The only other numbers I can find are on the injectors, which is ZL14D 5041-106. The parts suppllier says that there are two variations for my engine, though I am not sure I am selecting the right engine as I put in Z600. I think the tractor is from the 1970's, it has two cylinders. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks Bernie

Hi, I would just like to thank you all and update you. I took your advise and contacted Kubota UK who informed me they have no record of my machine so it was a grey import but they identified where I could find the engine number. It was in a place that I hadn't found anywhere in the documentation. If you have any questions contact them. They also gave me contacts of many companies who could help me in the future with several difficulties. Attached is the location of the engine number for a B6000E. All the best all. Bernie

Hi Wolfman. As the novice that I am I had to go with what parts suppliers on the internet was telling me. They said there were two sizes of crackshaft oil seal and it was either, lets say 35 or 38mm. So I measured the crankshaft and then I measured the crankshaft collar and found it to be say 35mm. so I ordered the part believing it would fit. when I tried to fit it the inner fitted but the outer, which should have been 38 was infact only 37 and so blo.dy useless. I then found a Kubota dealer nearish me and phoned them up and ordered a front oil seal. They just said, yes still available, will take two days to come in and no question as to which size. So you are absolutley correct, there is only one size. Thanks Bernie

Oh and yes it was the correct one and fitted perfectly so now no oil leak from the front crackshaft oil seal. B
